The old saying goes "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you will never please all the people all the time." In fact sometimes it seems impossible to even please some of the people any of the time

I watched “Jaws” last night. Can’t help thinking that they should have replaced the title “The End” with “Fin”…..
Re: Boom Boom Mk2 (The laughs continue)
As Dickens fans will know most of his novels were originally serialised in his weekly magazine, Household Words. However, A Tale of Two Cities was serialised further afield in two regional newspapers.............it was the Bicester Times and the Worcester Times

Now then, “Our Mutual Friend” might have forgotten I did that joke in the original “Boom, Boom” thread!

Apparently when you drink a pint of beer it shortens your life by about 9 mins.

Ironically SCS, as Paul McCartney had an Aunt,I think, who lived in Ryde, it was always considered that the song title (if not the lyrics) may have had its inspiration from this fact.South Coast Shot wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 7:42 am My partner is going to see a Beatles tribute act on the Isle of Wight. She's got a ticket to Ryde.
And later on we're off to a Gordon Lightfoot tribute act. We particularly like Sandown.
