Rochdale 4-0 Aldershot Town - Saturday 29th March 2025 (Match Day Thread)

Post by Aldershot »

Aldershot Town make the 234-mile trip to Greater Manchester this weekend, as they face Rochdale AFC at Spotland.

Aldershot last claimed victory here in 1984, though in the side’s current iteration, the Shots will be looking for a historic first ever win.

Away fans will be housed in the Willbutts Lane stand, blocks S and R, both are seated.

Ticket prices are as follows:
Adults: £24.00
65 + (Senior): £19.00
21 & Under: £14.00
13 & Under: £7.00 (Must be accompanied by another ticket holder aged 18+)
Please note that tickets can be purchased in-person using cash or card on the day, however there will be an additional £1 charge.
Children 2 Years & under may enter free of charge with a paying Adult, though a ticket is still required.

Anything with a 2 in front of it for the 5th tier is wrong.

Some of our performances this season should not have had a "one" in front of it!

Completely agree. Premier League away games are capped at £30. Is EPL really only £6 better value than National League football? The problem is people still pay it. If supporter groups at this level collaborated and protested these prices then perhaps things would change?

Yes ticket prices do seem very high these days. I prefer the days when you could pay on the day and not have to pay any extra. However National League matches do not have such big crowds and so the income source is limited and the costs must be very high for the utilities, travel to long distance away games, players wages etc. Perhaps they could offer something for home matches like if you go to 10 matches in a season the tenth match will have a significant discount - that could boost attendances and create a win - win situation for the fans and the Club.

I see Woking recently had a Two For Tuesday promotion where you could attend the games against FC Halifax Town & Rochdale for just the price of one adult ticket (£21). Given we have no further Saturday games left this season it would be nice to see us do something similar, especially as we attract less fans for midweek games.

Maybe the 2 year olds have been turning up on their own in the past!!

Probably better at buying tickets than some of our Facebook members!

Maybe something like the Two for Tuesday promotion could work and might increase attendances. A balance would need to be sought whereby the Club doesn't lose money on any deal but it gives a cost saving to supporters. Perhaps try it once and see how it pans out and if it is successful roll it out for other Tuesday matches.

Agreed
But apparently new club never won at Spotland?
However, our record against the top teams is magnificent
