This season's results and whether we played teams "at the right time"

Not sure how interesting this is but I was wondering whether we've met teams "at the right time" this season. The columns just show each game and how many points the two teams had won in the five games beforehand (and the form guide on the right). The game result is on the far right. If there's anything wrong here blame ChatGPT! You can hopefully click on the table to grow it.

The idea was that it feels like we've played some teams "at the right time" recently. But the data doesn't really think so.

Interesting things which I think we all know anyway: we've played a few teams who have been bang out of form and not prospered!

Ebbsfleet A, when they had 1 point in their last 5 games and held us to a 0-0
Dag Red A had 2 pts in 5 games and beat us 3-2
SHOCK: Solihull had 1 pt in 5 games and we won!
Then Dag Red and Ebbsfleet both happened again. So those teams were not only bad, they were out of form. It's a real mystery.

We also lost to Fylde, Solihull and Eastleigh when they weren't playing well.

The three draws over the new year were all against teams not in the best form, although Woking and Braintree did improve after that.

We've run into teams in great form a few times: drew with York, lost to Barnet, drew with Forest Green, beat Oldham, lost to Southend. Fair enough.

Like I say, not sure this tells us anything we don't already know but wanted to see if any patterns. Not really, just really underscores how bad a few of the results were. Obviously it's football so these things happen sometimes, but anyway.

I was going to do a bit more analysis but chatgpt says I've used up my quota for the day so this'll have to do.

Only 1 of 3 teams not to beat Ebbsfleet this season . Rochdale and Fylde being the other 2 I believe.

We potentially might not win a game against the 4 relegated teams, we are also the only club so far to the double over Oldham 7-2 on aggregate, it’s a funny old league

added to which, Oldham were in good form both times. I think sometimes the game is a bit weird and we all just have to accept that. There's definitely some homework for the coaching team to do about beating lesser sides, but it might just be one of those intergalactic flukes that can happen in football.
