Re: Play Offs
Scunny promoted after an extra time winner.
Re: Play Offs
Borehamwood will do ok I think the other 3 teams coming up will struggle tho. Scunthorpe will survive but be down there.

Could have been nerves as promotion would have been a must for a big club at that levelLes Briley wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 7:44 pmScunthorpe looked poor today, need a load of new players on that showing.

Re: Play Offs
Hi Brian, out of interest how are they better run and what do you think we need to do? Thanksbrian bloomfield wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 6:29 pmA hobby club that is in the black and run far better than the Shots.
Re: Play Offs
It’s not all about money thankfully, just saying people would sooner go and watch Aldershot v Torquay or Aldershot v Maidstone rather than Aldershot v Boreham Wood that has zero appeal.brian bloomfield wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 6:29 pmA hobby club that is in the black and run far better than the Shots.
Why are Boreham wood better run than us? Their owner has bank rolled them and still managed to get them relegated last year.
We have no money but maintained our NL status and won the FA trophy, which may suggest we are better run. Like I say it’s not all about money, tradition counts for a lot. Scunthorpe, Torquay any day over Boreham Wood and AFC Fylde etc.

At least this time they’ll start the new season in the NL on a high as opposed to 3 years ago when they got relegated from the league they were a complete mess, good for them!
