Got a feeling this could be a convincing 4-0 victory. Would be the perfect way to prepare for the weekend. Although I'd gladly take a scrappy 1-0 victory with no injuries or suspensions.

Whilst its not a direct choice between relegation and wembley as some would like you to think - there will be a price to be paid for a massive semi final on Saturday.
This price will be paid in nerves/adrenalin/distraction and fatigue and I am afraid we will pay it tonight AND next Tuesday.
As such, I would snap your hand off right now for two home draws in the league starting tonight. It would also stop Fylde and Boston getting 3 pts; whilst maintaining our undefeated home record (mid-dec)
PS - undefeated at home with Dewhurst in goal since 9th Nov. It April today. Read that again!

Agreed Fylde have to win tonight to have a realistic chance of catching usRC-Moderator wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 8:52 am Whilst its not a direct choice between relegation and wembley as some would like you to think - there will be a price to be paid for a massive semi final on Saturday.

Shots need to have a good win in order to get into the right frame of mind for Woking game after their beating last Saturday.

Not sure the Rochdale result willl have any bearing on Saturday's semi final, but yes it would be nice going into the Woking game knowing we've put any lingering relegation fears to bed which is what a victory tonight would do.Charles Dickens wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 11:59 am Shots need to have a good win in order to get into the right frame of mind for Woking game after their beating last Saturday.

agree. At this point in the season they've put together a decent sized body of work and one defeat after a long winning run isn't going to change anything. We all know that a) we should win tonight but that b) we've been terrible against 'bad' teams this season and c) it's Fylde, so who knows? I wouldn't be surprised by any result.Weybourne Shot wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 12:19 pmNot sure the Rochdale result willl have any bearing on Saturday's semi final, but yes it would be nice going into the Woking game knowing we've put any lingering relegation fears to bed which is what a victory tonight would do.Charles Dickens wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 11:59 am Shots need to have a good win in order to get into the right frame of mind for Woking game after their beating last Saturday.

Rochdale might do us a favour tonight if they inflict on Woking what they did to us.
Just wishful thinking perhaps.

it's annoying, just as a couple more results going our way could've made the playoffs a reality, so it seems that Woking have ended up a lot closer to being in danger than we imagined. The win on Saturday probably saved them but still a bit to do.Charles Dickens wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 3:36 pm Rochdale might do us a favour tonight if they inflict on Woking what they did to us.

We need Woking to lose tonight ahead of Saturday and being in real danger of relegation.
