Re: Manager update
Just had a listen too, out of curiosity, and I can only assume he’s been at the cooking sherry. Unicorn stuff from the manager, the abject lack of decent service from midfield (and the slowness of delivery) is a massive part of our problems. "Slow delivery" that hits the nail on the head,...

Re: Waving the white flag
Have to be honest, last season was fantastic, it felt good to be a shot again. This season is absolutely awful, I can only see is going one way at the moment under Tommy, and that's through that trap door to nls. Theo started the season well but is back to the old theo, maghoma disappointing Rollin...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
It’s been announced today that West Ham are getting 6,500 square metres of Solar panels on the roof of the London stadium. The work should be completed by next summer and the £4.35 million project is getting support from the Mayor of London’s Green energy fund. The solar power generated will provide...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
I understand the development can’t proceed as the MOD won’t sell the access land at a price which makes sense to the project. I’m interested in learning what the EFL require from a newly promoted club stadium wise (would a smaller stadium and footprint be sensible if we were to get promoted?) and do...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
This is from Deane Wood on Facebook I’m looking for a structural engineer who doesn’t want to charge stupid money to help me out with drawings and structural work for some of the re-development for Aldershot Town Football Club. If you or someone you know may be interested let me know. Please PM me....

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
Assuming everything is going forwards, it seems like the East Bank will be demolished first to make way for the new houses needed to finance the whole project. This will reduce capacity at the EBB considerably, perhaps even reduce it by half to 3,500 ? If the club continue to perform on the pitch, t...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
RBC could not conceivably develop a stadium; it would involve borrowing money and using public funds. To what ends - hardly an investment, there’s no profit to be made; anyway the majority of Rushmoor ratepayers have no interest in the football club. Aldershot Borough council used to build social h...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
No I don’t recall RBC being invited to become partners and rejecting the idea Richard. What I’m saying is RBC don’t need partners to do any of this, least of all with the owners of this football club. I agree that if they wanted to then they could do the development themselves and then lease it to ...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
Is there any reason why the football club should be given a lease on all this land owned by Rushmoor council ? The council owns the land the club operates on, surely they should have been investing and overseeing the development themselves ? I would have more faith in having a stadium in public owne...
