1000 dinars on Spennymoor at 4.6, once I managed to find a bookies. They're not very common in Belgrade.

Aldershot are favourites at 1.7.

Get your money on Spennymoor Betfair 3/1, great odds on a 2 horse race. Will ease the pain if we lose!

yeah I thought that, people might be slightly under-estimating them esp if we're without Hargreaves now as well as everyone else.

I dont think anyone at the club including fans will be underestimating Spennymoor, they've beaten at least two teams we've been royally humped by

I'll never understand betting against your own team, gotta be desperate for a gamble if people are happy to bet against their own team in a cup final for the sake of a few sheckles

Got to agree with you there. It is a tad distasteful IMHO to put a bet on your opponents winning.

I meant the bookies. 3-1 in a two horse race at a neutral ground seems a bit high to me.

Just be aware if you are betting on the match result market then if we go to Extra Time or Pens and Spennymoor win you won't get paid which would be a double disappointment.

Need to back the Lift the Trophy market to cover the scenario

Distasteful ,is that like passing wind in a lift. No one will be more gutted than me if we lose, but 60 odd years of watching Aldershot, including Shortwood means once in a while have I taken a little insurance against total depression after a defeat. For the record I hardly ever bet, so desperate for a gamble is mildly offensive. As for a few sheckles, my commute to watch the Shots from Devon costs me 31/2 hours on the train and £80 fare a pop!

Not a two horse race as the draw is present in the market so looking at three possible outcomes when compiling.

Each to their own (it wasn’t me who made the comment about being “desperate” or “sheckles “by the way) Having suffered a lot of disappointments in my 45+ years of watching the Shots, I know it will happen sometimes, but betting on our opponents to win isn’t a kind of compensation I feel comfortable with.

Yup each to their own but gives me the willies just thinking about it, like cheating on your wife  I won't bet on Reading to win either

Depends how much you’re potentially winning I suppose, I’m a problem gambler and if I back the moor to win in 90 I don’t think I’ll be winning £50 or a ton it would be much higher than that which is why I’ll ignore it as it’s a special game but if I had the money again who knows….
