Home Streak to come?
Hartlepool, Solihull, and Dagenham in succession at home. All our outside the top 9.... and hard to suggest any of them are genuine play off contenders.
Hartlepool have lost 9
Solihull have lost 13 (including 5 of the last 6)
Dagenham have lost 13 (including 4 of the last 6)
(PS. Aldershot have lost 12, including obviously 2 of the last 2, before someone says it!)
Regardless of what we think about our horrific situation or the club in general....
Its all about these next 3 matches (and arguably the Sittingbourne match wedged between).
Lets hope the pitch is ready and the team can rise to the occasion

The Strays are all returning for the Hartlepool game this Saturday, so that got to be at least a 6-0 win!!!!

Too many negative sad posters seem to almost enjoy writing the Shots off with their constant predictions of certain relegation.
However, I suspect that most fans, the silent majority, will just get behind the Shots during these difficult times.

I saw this heading and expected a completely different story

Ah, the old "silent majority" mantra. I've never bought into that one, ever since I first heard it.Charles Dickens wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 1:43 pmAn unusual positive post for these days on Shotsweb.RC-Moderator wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 10:39 am Hartlepool, Solihull, and Dagenham in succession at home. Bloody hell, Chas, if you cannot see that relegation is NOT ONLY VERY likely but VIRTUALLY CERTAIN on current form (stretching back a year) then you are beyond help.
But hey ho, let's stay positive, eh? After all, I mean, the Titanic is UNSINKABLE innit?

Don't often agree with you but totally 100 % on this . Yes let's just sit back don't moan and accept relegation. We can all see these players aren't good enough yet some refuse to accept this . I'd actually say this is the worse side since 91 /92Old Bob wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 1:50 pmAh, the old "silent majority" mantra. There’s nothing wrong with staying positive. How else can anyone improve if you don’t.

Re: Home Streak to come?
As a long time sufferer what troubles me about two of these games at least is the "Aldershot" factor, teams that have been on a poor run seem to more often than not regain form when we play them. Daggers and Solihull zero wins in six..

Re: Home Streak to come?
Is the pitch gong to hold up with rain forecast tomorrow and Friday .... was still covered in sand on Monday of this week ?
and Richard Walden puts the Shots 1-0 up against Man Utd

No problem disagreeing with me, LBS. Life would be boring if all agreed with each other all of the time.lowerbourneshot wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 2:01 pmDon't often agree with you but totally 100 % on this . Re: Home Streak to come?
I don't think it'll be on. Currently forecast for rain all day tomorrow and to start again at 4pm on Friday through to 10am on Saturday. If it couldn't handle the light rain before the last postponement then there's no chance.Weybourne Shot wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 2:17 pm Is the pitch gong to hold up with rain forecast tomorrow and Friday .... was still covered in sand on Monday of this week ?

I must admit, I tend to agree with CD, I think the most disgruntled supporters will be the most vocal.Old Bob wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 1:50 pmAh, the old "silent majority" mantra. There's no denying the position we're in and yes, things do need to change.
The problem is most teams on a bad run nearly always seem to improve against us.
I'm really not trying to be over optimistic but just don't revel in doom either.

Re: Home Streak to come?
First goal will be key on Saturday. If we get it the crowd will back the team. If we don't it could get pretty poisonous.
