Tommys first 11

Post by redandbluescb »

A. Jones, Widdrington , Hargreaves , Barrett and Scott 5 players not good enough to
get promotion from NLN, why would he think they are good enough for this league.
WE have no natural centre forward, woeking have signed 3 in the last few weeks.
If Barrett and Henry dont score wonder goals we dont score.
Put Madja and FRost in central midfield, Tetek,Jenkins and Ellison shouls start when fit.

Hargreaves and Olly Scott have been good this season.

Tetek yes, but Jenkins and Ellison replacing who? Armitage and Woodhouse have been good too.

Re Barrett, he's fourth in the entire league in terms of goals scored per minute on the pitch. He's scoring more often than Tolaj did last season and Olly Pearce is this. Obviously the downside here is that he hasn't been on the pitch enough but when he's played he's one of the most prolific players in the national league. He should be praised more not less. Also he's fifth in the team in minutes so he's not been that bad.

I normally back the club as much as i can no matter what and don't care what people call me for doing that, but, I honestly believe T/W does not know who the strongest starting 11 is, this is because he does not know what he is doing ,or is to blind or stubborn to see what most people can see,and i'm sure this includes the players, coaches and those sitting up in the gods.
If you are reading this Tommy (you will probably laugh and take no notice what so ever !! ) but i will put it in capaitals for you....
DROP YOUR SON, AND PLAY THE STRONGEST PLAYERS IN THE RIGHT POSITIONS THAT THEY SHOULD BE IN, AND WHILE I'M AT IT, STOP PLAYING BARRETT AND HENRY TOGETHER, just my opinions of course Tommy, but if you do decide to do what i have asked, i will, and demand full credit if we start to win again in the league !!

He won't and we'll go down . Tw is contracted till 26 ,so his son will get another contract . If Theo is that good how come daddy is the only manager to sign him ?

Disagree, i think Mark Butler can clearly see what is going on around him, but i guess he is in no position to make his feelings clear to whoever would listen

You’d have to be either blind or dead not to be able to see it! Only thing I would slightly disagree with is that JB is clearly National League quality - one of the few players we have worth turning up to see.

The rest of the King’s Lynn crew are a waste of time and wouldn’t keep any of them.

You maybe correct but he does have a relative on the board.

Yes, and earns good money from ATFC. Unlikely to stand up and be counted!

I don't think this squad should be battling relegation, however we have underperformed this season and now face a real threat of going down. I think Tommy's selections have contributed to us struggling to get the best out of this squad.

The Stuttle decision might well cost us our national league place. All season we've been looking for a striker to hold the ball up, and he was definitely that guy, regardless of whether he'd have scored any goals at this level.

Meanwhile Barrett and Henry together doesn't work, we struggle to retain possession and are basically hoping one of them performs magic out of nowhere. Is Dolaghan going to play, and is he going to offer as much with his hold-up play as Stuttle?

Ryan Jones was my player of the month for December, really making the lwb position his, so why has he barely played since then? Or what about on our recent run there were games like Sutton away which were crying out for Akpan to replace AJ for more creativity as we chased the winner, but Tommy stubbornly stuck with AJ.

At least the keeper situation seems to have been resolved and our back three has come together with good depth (I would still consider Maghoma when up against certain experienced target men).

AJ should be nowhere near the team right now, he's lost about 5 yards of pace from last season and spent Saturday just backing off the Eastleigh runners and inviting them into the box to shoot.

Absolutely right about the Henry/Barrett partnership. Neither have mobility and it leaves Jack to plough a lone furrow giving opposition defences all the time in the world to play the ball out. Given this, James Henry's onoging injury niggles and the hefty wage he's reputedly on, it begs the question of whether a mututal arrangement should be sought to free up funds for signings.

Enough has been said about Theo, his inclusion is nothing short of a sick joke.

Dewhurst was the only player to come away from Eastleigh with any real credit to his name.

I liked the look of Dolaghan on Saturday. Sadly he got precious little service but he looks reasonably big and powerful and could do a job alongside Jack with playing JB in behind.

How about this team for tomorrow night please Tommy? Get on the front foot and take the game to Southend! It assumes that Henry and Tetek are unavailable.

Dewhurst
Armitage Jenkins Scott
Frost Hargreaves Woodhouse R.Jones
Barrett
Dolaghan Barham

Subs: JVS, Ellison, Maghoma, AJ, Widd/Maja, Mullins, Corbett

The Woodhouse move is intriguing but I wonder if Wycombe would be happy with that. But he said in the programme that he used to be a midfielder. We badly need some presence there and he's already shown he can sit deep and use the ball.

Your team looks worth a go to me.
