Page unresponsive?

Post by Old Bob »

Is anyone else having technical problems with Shotsweb?
It's working fine on my phone but I've been unable to use it on my PC since yesterday afternoon. It loads OK but then it seizes up and says "Page unresponsive".
I've cleared cookies and browsing history, cleaned up and defragmented the disc, cleared temporary files, checked the browser (Chrome) is up to date, all to no avail.
Maybe it's the heavy snow we've had

Yep I'm getting the same problem, started yesterday for me.

As you say that effing snow is really causing havoc.

Can someone fix it?
What was done to the site on Friday that caused it?

And be quick about it!

Honestly Old Bob, I'm sure anything is straightforward in your head, but as an intelligent chap, you do forget yourself sometimes.

Not forgetting anything at all, Kiddie. There is a problem with the website. It surfaced yesterday. It needs to be fixed but won't be if whoever is supposed to do it isn't aware that anything is up. Hence, I flagged it. Simple enough to understand.

I don't know who is supposed to fix it. I am relying on them reading this thread. There has been no response from them and the thread was starting to slip out of view. So I made sure it got put top of the list by posting again.

Now, what exactly have I forgotten?

Working ok on two PCs here at HQ. Sorry for missing this.

Does anyone have more details of browser version or windows version where it is failing?

Chrome running on Windows 10, Mod. About as standard as you can get.

I'll try to get a screenshot for you. It likely won't work easily as the obvious route of sending it through Shotsweb on my PC isn't available. I'll see if I can use PhoneLink to get the screenshot onto my phone and then onto Shotsweb on my phone.

The url at the time is easy. It’s shotsweb.site/shotsweb/viewtopic.php?t=57801.
