Aldershot Town P-P Solihull Moors - Saturday 11th January 2025 (Match POSTPONED)

Post by Aldershot »

There is no planned pitch inspection ahead of tomorrow’s Vanarama National League game with Solihull Moors.

We have been in constant conversation with tomorrow’s opponents and Match Official and had a locally-based National League Official visit the EBB Stadium this afternoon to assess the condition of the pitch ahead of tomorrows game.

Frost Covers were put on on Wednesday and have remained in place since: We would like to thank our volunteers for their help with this.

With temperatures not expected to drop any further than the previous 24 hours over the next 24 hours, all parties are optimistic that the current condition of the pitch – which is playable – will not deteriorate.

Any changes or developments will be communicated as soon as possible, but we remain confident that the game will go ahead.

Minus 8.9 at 8am in lower Bourne this morning, reading minus 4 now I'd keep the covers on till at least midday

Club should know what they are doing.
Always Railway line side South Stand that doesn't get the sun.
Wouldn't surprise me if they are doing a pitch inspection just not going public with the it
Moors would need to leave by 1130 to allow for traffic.
Hopefully not an embarrassing 2pm late P-P

There won't be any need for a pitch inspection, I was one of those removing the covers this morning and they have done their job perfectly

The ones under the south stand will stay on until around midday as that's in the shade

The old saying goes "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you will never please all the people all the time." In fact sometimes it seems impossible to even please some of the people any of the time
