That triple substitution made a big difference but can only really remember Dewhurst’s save in the last minute?brian bloomfield wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:06 pmWe definitely did well to hold on at the end, Yeovil subs were very good.

He takes his Achilles from behind and you think that is not a foul, you need a brain implantredblueuptoyou wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 4:06 pmDewhurst’s kicking was all over the place.SteveyAsp wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 3:58 pmReally? They've looked all over the place.Silasgoldeen wrote:Actually quite impressed. Defence looks like they've been working hard on shape and have been very good for the most part. Funny period in the middle but we look quite good overall. Could've had 2 or 3.
Yeovil had at least 4 decent opportunities to score due to the defence just opening up.
Hargreaves- didn’t look good but think he just came off worse in a 50/50. Not the nasty foul some of our players (including Cam) appeared to be claiming.
I can see the logic of playing the strongest team. Get them in some kind of form and confidence for next week. But if does have risks. Who’d be a manager?
Hope Barham is prepared to cover ever my blade of that Wembley pitch…

Very end of season feel to that match with players on both sides seemingly going through the motions. I think we just about shaded it and it was a good watch, if not the most high on quality.
Didn’t see Frost and Corbett have a barney, but did see Tetek and Theo have strong words a few times. Think Tetek doesn’t do as much running as Hargreaves and that was annoying the Big Man.
Lots of talk about being woeful at the back on here but I thought we were pretty solid and Ellison deserving of MOTM.

I was in line with it. Looked like an accidental but nasty one to me. Let’s see what the replay shows and less of the insults, hey?supershots wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:09 pmHe takes his Achilles from behind and you think that is not a foul, you need a brain implantredblueuptoyou wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 4:06 pmDewhurst’s kicking was all over the place.

Anyway, agree Ellison motm armitage didn't put a foot wrong. Structurally they were pretty good, we have been killed by on eof them being sucked out and opponents dropping into the gap behind but that only happened a couple of times first half. Otherwise they were much more disciplined than they have been. Aj for most of the game tucked in like a fourth cb and frost a bit more attacking. The goal was bad but overall they were good bakc there. Not much resistance in midfield as usual but wanted to see some improvements in defensive shape and discipline and did. It's been woeful recently.

No idea how we won that! I guess Yeovil were poor?
Boring and disjointed, and must do better on Sunday, but I fear we won’t.

Overall it’s wasn’t that bad of a game considering a lot of the players will have Wembley on their minds.
We needed to play pretty much the first team as they have had a fair rest recently and don’t want to go into Wembley being rusty. Hopefully Cameron injury isn’t as bad as first feared but time will tell.
Thought Theo played alright, Thomas when he came on was good too. Corbett looks low on confidence so I suspect he’s gone along with hady. Dewhurst kicking was loose today but an argument could be made that it’s the pitch that’s the issue. Which is in really bad nick and needs serious attention in the summer.
One last game to play, what a day it will be so onwards and upwards.

We sometimes get some ‘in the know’ types telling us who is staying and going at the final league match? Any whispers today?
Although I feel it would be better to wait until after Sunday.

I do wonder if Frost reacted like he did because he was getting stick from Corbett, who is notorious for not seeing other players and being reluctant to pass the ball.Silasgoldeen wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:20 pmI think Corbett said something after frost went on that long run.redblueuptoyou wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:13 pm Very end of season feel to that match with players on both sides seemingly going through the motions. That's what I thought. Corbett usually very tunnel visioned so exactly that I assume.Marcus ex W.Midlands Shot wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 6:41 pmI do wonder if Frost reacted like he did because he was getting stick from Corbett, who is notorious for not seeing other players and being reluctant to pass the ball.Silasgoldeen wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:20 pmI think Corbett said something after frost went on that long run.redblueuptoyou wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:13 pm Very end of season feel to that match with players on both sides seemingly going through the motions. Roll on next Sunday, we're going to have to up our work rate if we are going to win.
Pitch today was atrocious, but it was the same for both teams. LOL

From the South Stand, we saw an ambulance with flashing lights, going behind the North Stand. I hope it wasn't for Cameron Hargreaves. If it wasn't, I hope whoever needed assistance was OK.
