Hi Brian interesting your thoughts on who manages the manager as I took it upon myself to manage all the three managers that served the club whilst I
was Chairman, this included having one on one regular meetings to discuss where they were with the playing budget and I always had the figures from
our financial controller ie: David Brookland. We also spoke about many positives along with the negatives, plus the managers needs or requests.
They also had to attend every monthly board meeting via an Agenda item called managers report. This item was the first on the Agenda and once the
item was discussed and finished they left the meeting to enable the board to complete all the other topics on the agenda.
The only team manager I did not manage was Ron Harris whilst I was the commercial director of AFC when we were in the football league 1984-85.
