Eastleigh 2-0 Aldershot Town - Saturday 15th February 2025 (Match Day Thread)

I know this will be controversial and I am fully aware he's far from the finished article, but we seem to be missing Ash Akpans attacking threat down the right.
He could and did link up well with Barrett Henry and Barham.

Agreed Brian, a posse of fans have succumbed to Board influence and are part of the problem.brian bloomfield wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 6:08 pmWe had a good 6 months. the last year has been horrendous.Pirbrightloyalshot wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 6:03 pm All the pessimism on here makes me wonder about all the decisions in the past , we have a club , we have had a reasonable two seasons , Tommy and the chairnan/BoD deserve time to sort this out. I remember a certain well known Shots fan on here who orchestrated the ‘Driver Out’ campaign , that really went well for the club!
I agree the BOD and Tommy have to sort this out together.
The "Driver Out" campaign was done for all the right reasons. Today we have an unacceptable degree of tolerance, to abject failure.

100% - he was a good player who gave us so much down the right. AJ doesn't stretch the field in attack and isn't the most secure at the back. Akpan's a huge miss, back to being really one dimensional without him.

Just seen the highlights and the goals are a complete horror show. You either organise a team or you don't. I don't know what the f*ck they thought was going on but the last two defenders were Theo (chasing his man) and AJ, who in desperation went across to Theo's man and left the goalscorer (fair I guess). Part of setting up a team is making sure you have a structure for when you lose the ball. I just don't understand how you end up that exposed from an attacking throw in. Honestly beginning to wonder if the season entirely depends on Manny Maja being mysteriously good at shielding the defence (not that he'll get the chance, obviously).
The second one obviously Theo got done but there's no rule against anyone else providing help and it was like moses parting the red sea there.
I do like Tommy, I think he often talks a lot of sense, and obviously he'll have forgotten more about football than I'll ever know. But bloody hell there have been some horrible goals conceded this season and those two were right up there.

The Driver out campaign couldn’t happen this day and age sadly. The oldies who did it back in the day are more reserved I suspect these days and the younger supporters would be banned. We seem to ban fans rather than
educate, discuss, encourage and grow the supporter base.

What are you on about, matey? FFS, I struggle to fathom what your posts are all about. Do you actually know what you are trying to say?
