One thing I do know is they'll be just as worried, most probably a lot more than us about the current position because they'll have to pick up the pieces.
For the clubs sake I hope they find a way to help the manager kick on from this difficult position.
I don't think they are worried at all, look at the state of everything about the club. As others have said they are running it to the ground. Even if the BOD could offer some help TW has caused enough damage already and its time to ship him out.

We really need to know about this alleged redevelopment/what plans there are for moving upwards.
Its no easy task-a few clubs with arguably better set ups than ours are or have struggled at this level and below.

There is a correlation in football between budget and league position but as you say it's is spent is also important - Manchester United being a prime example.
We need to know about all 3 targets. The silence from the boardroom is deathening.
I'd guarantee that when the heat gets turned up on SA,TW will go
It's not really a question of how much is in the playing budget, it's how its spent. If you've got a £2m budget and use £1.75m on three quality players ,your left trying to fill all the other places with £250k (and they wont be quality!) I think our problem is the cost of maintaininmg a decrepit ground that we dont own with precious few non match day streams. Everything in the ATFC set up is simply cost. Maybe the BOD need to look for a new build site/cost it out/work out the new builds non match day revenues and present that alone("oven ready" as BJ said....although he was lying!!) to excite a new investor/owner to take on. The potential is there at ATFC-the FL history/support in numbers when on field is going well-even a fair 4 figure gate when things aren't. That's all waste in the current set up/as things are.

Maybe the budget has been the biggest constraint, the club is at the start of getting the ground developed and this no doubt in my opinion, is compounding the issue.Josh wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 11:24 amAzeem is the biggest reason we are in this mess with the running up of the huge debt. Already had 2 bottom 4 finishes under him and every manager has struggled under him. If you keep flirting with relegation, one day the trap door will open.brian bloomfield wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 10:40 am Whilst we're on here discussing all things Aldershot I know Shahid, Deane and John will be having long conversations on this wonderful Sunday on how they can help the manager and what they need to do to prevent relegation.

However TW is far from blameless. Constant selection of his son, Frost out of position, inexplicable selection of JVS, the refusal to play Stuttle.
It's bleak
Bloody long start, Brian.

For some strange reason we seem to have 4 home games on the trot. From the reports the Shots had a bad day yesterday, so we have a great chance to put things right. However team selection needs an overhaul with perhaps some new ideas (outside the Box)?

I think looking at the table it would be fair to say we have had more than one bad day. How much longer do you want to give TW to put things right.Charles Dickens wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 2:49 pm For some strange reason we seem to have 4 home games on the trot. Just scene highlights which are from eastlees media which only show one chance from Barrett free kick.. are we saying we had loads of 'possession' but only had one chance.. I heard in 1st half we dominated or is this a case of unfair biased highlights from the eastlee media?

This loads of possession/ controlling the game/ domination is a myth. Very little happened in the first 30 minutes. Think we had one long range shot which keeper saved. Eastleigh scored twice and we offered nothing.Reg's corner wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 2:55 pm Just scene highlights which are from eastlees media which only show one chance from Barrett free kick.. are we saying we had loads of 'possession' but only had one chance.. Therein lies the answer.. I can work it out.. some here can.. can the custodians of the club work it out?
Re: Eastleigh 2-0 Aldershot Town - Saturday 15th February 2025 (Match Day Thread)
I've watched Shots away quite abit this season, including some "fighting" displays at Gateshead, Forest Green and Oldham to name but 3 , but yesterday we seemed devoid of ideas . Frustrating that we must have known the challenge Eastleigh always pose with their possee of 6ft plus players and physical approach.
I would never have foreseen we could be facing relegation after the success of last season and I fear for our existence if we were to go down . There does seem a lack of leadership from the top off field, dreadful communication and of course this line that the fans are simply there "to support."
I expect now our team to treat ever league game like a Cup Final and give 110% . I hope the Management also provides more support to Jack up front and that Josh and Tetek's time on field is managed to good effect.

This and the last 5 managers .....Its whos picking them and the way the club is run that is the main problem.Shots2000 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 1:35 pmThe manager is the issue.brian bloomfield wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 10:40 am Whilst we're on here discussing all things Aldershot I know Shahid, Deane and John will be having long conversations on this wonderful Sunday on how they can help the manager and what they need to do to prevent relegation.

How can you be where we are and insist you are not going to change anything in the way we play?

On the basis that our spectations are are perhaps low for Southend, time to gamble and try something different and then go on to win the next four games with a much better attacking force! Well lets at least try to be positive!HackJowarth wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 3:01 pmSouthend away Tuesday night.Charles Dickens wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 2:49 pm For some strange reason we seem to have 4 home games on the trot. All the pessimism on here makes me wonder about all the decisions in the past , we have a club , we have had a reasonable two seasons , Tommy and the chairnan/BoD deserve time to sort this out. I remember a certain well known Shots fan on here who orchestrated the ‘Driver Out’ campaign , that really went well for the club!

We had a good 6 months. the last year has been horrendous.Pirbrightloyalshot wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 6:03 pm All the pessimism on here makes me wonder about all the decisions in the past , we have a club , we have had a reasonable two seasons , Tommy and the chairnan/BoD deserve time to sort this out. I agree the BOD and Tommy have to sort this out together.
The "Driver Out" campaign was done for all the right reasons. Today we have an unacceptable degree of tolerance, to abject failure.
