The first two are kind of protecting the players so I get them but the third one? Wow!Alex wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:18 pmhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mqgxAjwMTyk

Re: Southend Away (Matchday thread)
Quite a few others couldn’t even do that tonight and gave the ball away cheaply. I just don’t get this constant same old stuff being said about the Geezer.SteveyAsp wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 9:13 pmAll about 3-4 yards when not under pressure....I think even I could manage that.Sean Chambers wrote:Theo made a few decent passes in the first half, although I realise posting a positive thing he has done for a wee bit of balance may upset those who seem to be obsessed with the Geezer.
The same points are made every game about him, yes he shouldn’t be in the side. Others could take but banging on about it every game I fail to see what it achieves.

Perhaps he needs to stop protecting the players!
And stop repeating “it’s a young group”
A young group you put together!!!

I don’t understand why you seem to love using the word geezer, but hey ho!Sean Chambers wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:30 pmQuite a few others couldn’t even do that tonight and gave the ball away cheaply. Aren't we a proper National League Club then
TW is right on one thing, the 196 who went tonight saw the players put in a serious shift.
We played a team tonight who I believed just shaded it and who have a budget at least twice ours so maybe some perspective is needed.
Hartlepool on Saturday will be very edgy on and off the field. But the fans will still turn up in their numbers UTS

So you'd be happy to watch Widdrington leading us in the NLS ? Under a board with no vision .Sean Chambers wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:55 pmWouldn’t expect you to fella, then again I don’t understand why you would stop coming to watch the team you support just because they went down, but hey ho each to their own I guess.Alex wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:33 pmI don’t understand why you seem to love using the word geezer, but hey ho!Sean Chambers wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:30 pm

Words fail me with TW sometimes. If we aren't in a mess or in the middle of a crisis what the heck is his definition of both.redblueuptoyou wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:24 pmThe first two are kind of protecting the players so I get them but the third one? We have no money
We have a club that lies to fans over snow
We are in yet another relagation fight, with probably the worst set of players for it
He takes us for idiots.

Make sure you enjoy trips to the likes of Chelmsford, Chesham and Hornchurch.Sean Chambers wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:55 pmWouldn’t expect you to fella, then again I don’t understand why you would stop coming to watch the team you support just because they went down, but hey ho each to their own I guess.Alex wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:33 pmI don’t understand why you seem to love using the word geezer, but hey ho!Sean Chambers wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:30 pm

Brian, I think many are getting carried away with how we played at 2-0 down...Before that we weren't great, we had a brief spell at 1-0 down before they scored their second.brian bloomfield wrote:Aren't we a proper National League Club then

They were 10th in the league so hardly hardly a team that we should be considering as a great side and one we should be thinking how fantastic it is that we only lost 1-0.
Once again Widdrington tried to silence some comments by saying "If you weren't there you can't have an opinion" I'm not sure he realised that it was available to stream and at this stage of the season and in our position the results are more important than the performances.

Re: Southend Away (Matchday thread)
It's starting to get to late about what happened tonight or next time ,it's what's happened the whole of the season failing to beat sides with budgets like ours or less . I'm sorry I don't see this side having the balls to get enough points to stay up no matter who we play . I don't think they'd even be a top6 NLS side. Tommy and many would disagree with me ,let's see where we are in April 2026brian bloomfield wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:47 pm Aren't we a proper National League Club then
