Congratulations to Spennymoor Town who have defeated Rochdale 5-4 on penalties having taken them to spot kicks after scoring a 95th minute equaliser to earn them a 2-2 draw.

Alex will be easy to spot, he did not see the memo and will be dressed in yellow
Made hard work of it, didn’t play great and let Effiong do too much.

However…

WE ARE GOING TO WEMBLEY !!!!! 😃

❤️💙
Armitage had him in his pocket all game!

I totally agree, embarrassing! I believe it spoils a great Shots day. I do hope it's appealed as we would do exactly that!!!

Oh pipe down, it doesn’t “spoil” anything. We’re going to Wembley!!!

Plenty of play acting coming from Woking players on the floor for large amounts of time and their keeper delaying play as well. Agree it’s not a red but who cares!

I do for a start, I would far rather we got there by the proper means rather than gaining a big advantage by one of our players cheating.

Wherever you may be Shots fans go out tonight and have a few. This is a day worth celebrating. I still can’t get my head around it, but I am one very very happy Shots fan.

Thank you Tommy. Thank you all the players and staff and thanks to all our fellow supporters. What a day. I love The Shots and I love The East Bank 😀

Their player would’ve done the exact same thing if it was the other way round. Stuff like this happens throughout football every week. Blame the ref, not us.

And anyway, if Beautyman hadn’t had gone in with his shoulder, it wouldn’t have been a problem.

As you can see from this thread there are several recognisable honest posters on here who have all said the same thing. Some of us have standards which Widdrington failed to show. Therefore the victory has been spoilt and Woking rightly have a grievance.

Just got back from such a great day. Crap drive due to the M3 closures, but that just gave me more time to think savoour the moment and what it means to us. So pleased that we have finally booked a trip to Wembley, role on June. Time for a few beers now.
