The pitch apparently looks terrible still and it's just started to rain. BBC weather says rain on and off until Saturday. So you'd think it'd all be fine but nobody expected any problems before the last game either.

Suppose it doesn’t really matter anymore.

We are going down.

I read on Facebook somewhere the other week that the pitch was perfect even though it was called off so shouldn't be a problem

Only 16 league games left for you to watch The Shots then as you wont be watching us if we do go down to NLS.
Don’t throw the towel in just yet though,we could still stay up.
I think Ebbsfleet and Boston have gone, so it’s any two from the bottom eight for me.
I suspect there will be a few more twists and turns yet I

Twists and turns for some, maybe.

Not us.

This squad doesn’t have enough about them to get out of trouble.

Very sad times!

Absolutely spot on, very sad times indeed.

I do honestly think there will be twist and turns yet, and it will go down to the wire as they say, especially for the last two places.

In my opinion it’s the home form from now that will decide our fate.

Enjoy the rollercoaster ride from now till end of April staring on Saturday versus the Monkey Hangers.

Hope the team haven’t been preparing to play the wrong team on Saturday! Just read the Stray Shots article on the website and slightly miffed to see we’re playing FC Halifax Town.

EDIT - Mistake spotted and now amended.

Watching the EFL highlights show on Saturday evening, there are lots of pitches that appear to be in poor condition so we aren't alone.

It might even be worth relegation to get rid of Alex!
Does anybody have it in writing?

I've said it before but I think this squad is good enough to be competing for a play off place. It's the bizarre team selections that are really costing us.

On another thread there's been a discussion about whether it's too late to sack TW. It's not! I would expect a new man in charge to play in form players in their best positions, which would naturally mean Theo being given the hook.

LOL!! We're firmly in the worst of the 70's revival socially, economically and politically, now we've got the crappy sanded football pitches to add to it !

When we get relegated might as well get a plastic pitch for our part-timers.

Won't be knocking on the EFL door for some considerable time I doubt.

Yep and now look how a lot of those players performed on those pictures, George Best, Peter Osgood,Charlie Cooke, Alan Hudson,Tony Currie, Stanley Bowles, Frank Worthington,Duncan McKenzie to name just a few.
Now they want bowling greens to perform on especially at the top level.
