A player we should have signed ,obviously down to money at the timefredandballou wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 9:44 pm Kwesi Appiah scored Boreham Wood's second goal tonight in their 3 - 4 win at Hemel Hempstead. This takes the tally for Kwesi up to 17 for the season and he's the top scorer in NLS.

When Kwesi was on loan here, he was coming up through the ranks at Palace and was still very much their player, so I doubt signing him then was ever an option. I was surprised to see him drop down from EFL2 to NLS last summer, as he's easily NL standard, but I guess Boreham Wood waved their fat chequebook at him.lowerbourneshot wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:29 amA player we should have signed ,obviously down to money at the timefredandballou wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 9:44 pm Kwesi Appiah scored Boreham Wood's second goal tonight in their 3 - 4 win at Hemel Hempstead. He didn't impress at all on Saturday, largely down to an impressive performance from our back three, but his record speaks for itself. Wouldn't mind one bit if we signed him.

After a decent start, their season has gone down the pan since early December. Couldn't have happened to a nicer manager!

They had quite a favourable start fixtures wise from memory, it was never going to be sustained, they arent anywhere near the quality of Dorking, Torquay, Maidstone and Boreham Woodchimpster99 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 10:12 amAfter a decent start, their season has gone down the pan since early December. Scored a conf south goal just now.
That equates to 25 goals a season in our division:-)

Stuttle will get goals in the NLS and I believe he would have got some for us in the NL if he had been given enough minutes.
I liked the way he held the ball up and also he didn’t mind the rough stuff either. Exactly the profile of a centre forward that we were and are crying out for.
TW has made some strange decisions this season and this was undoubtedly one of them imho.

Jamie Young has retired from professional football and left Melbourne City in order to focus on his PhD and becoming a lecturer in sports science. He will continue playing amateur regional football with the superbly named Dandenong Thunder.
A great keeper, who could (maybe should) have achieved a lot more in his time playing over here?
