Telling the crowd he couldn’t be that bad as he had 2 assists, maths isn’t his strong point, he only had one albeit the 2nd started with his only asset. Limped off the pitch got booked for time wasting then walked a normal pace as soon as he stepped off. Tamworth clearly love it, don’t think they were getting too much abuse until they started enticing it 2nd half. Perhaps got stick for their fake injuries first half.

That throw in is quite a weapon shame however that we didn't deal with it on one single occasion

Two things undid us today: (1) we were too slow getting the ball forward, and (2) we were way too late making substitutions. The latter was so frustrating as the game was crying out for fresh legs at least 15 minutes before the changes were eventually made.

Luca Woodhouse was a mountain out there today, and Armitage was solid alongside him. Marcus made some good stops but should have done better for their 2nd goal. Frosty was lost out on the left sadly.

Anyone who thinks Theo had a decent game needs their head felt, he spent the entire time taking the momentum out of our attacks and passing the ball backwards. Hargreaves was far from his best, but with Coco the Clown alongside him he had so much work to get through.

Creaney is a very strange bloke, I get him having one go at winding up the East Bank, but if I was a Tamworth fan I'd be hacked off he didn't go and celebrate with them for the second goal!!

Two points dropped for me!! Cracking sunset though.

Both Will & Luca, our young centre backs, were excellent. Luca was pure class and deservedly won Man of The Match. Great to see him and Jack Barham scoring.

Tamworth must be the masters of The League of Shabby Tactics with their abject time wasting, continual stoppages of the game with supposed injuries and, at one stage, Singh, who is a great keeper, walking away with the ball under the nose of the Ref, James Durkin, near the centre circle returning to his goal area to delay the restart of the match. Our players did well to keep their cool and continue to play the game in a cultured way.

All the same, an entertaining game, that as others have already said could have gone either way. Good to see Tommy properly back. The wins will come for us as long as we keep up backing our team in a positive fashion. Great noise from the East Bank particularly in the closing stages of the match.

I wondered when a team would cotton on to faking head injuries to use to their advantage. Well, Tamworth have it down to a fine art. There were four separate stoppages for Tamworth ‘head injuries’ in the first half. All players had no visible injuries and all returned to continue the game.
Their keeper going down with ‘cramp’ in stoppage time another tactic to disrupt play.
Clever stuff if you can get away with it.

Enjoyable game for a neutral, plenty of entertaining gamesmanship and play-acting, but not a lot for the football purist. The contrast in styles was prominent, Tamworth straight up the pitch in one or two welts, Shots passing too and fro with little penetration or end-ball.
Tamworth are pragmatically good at what they do, they know they are technically limited but have desire to put one over on the pro. teams.
We need a rough-house CF; unpleasant as he is, Creaney is a good example.
FWIW, I thought Widd. jnr. had a decent game , no worse than others. And boy-wonder in goal should have saved the 2nd. goal. Woodhouse has a great future ahead, what a player..

Second best for 2 home games on the bounce, why do we always allow ourselves to get mugged off by some teams ? Apart from the 2 centre halves, I thought the rest of the team were pretty average today. We might scrape a win against Fylde in a couple of weeks, but Eastleigh & Maidenhead will be games where we may not get anything from.
:D In my humble opinion..Just saying

Aldershot played really good football. Widdrington had a good game Tamworth let him have the ball. The shot at the end nearly won the game which Aldershot deserved
Widdrington is not good enough at this level nor is his dad.
Bournemouth I am surprised haven't pulled Shuttle back, we needed someone to chase everything. We did not have that up front bless him at the age of 58 and only having one leg I could beat Josh in a race. No one had a bad game for Aldershot.

Tommy you have to stop the stuborness.

Draw about right but don't get why Tetek, our best midfielder, doesn't play ?

Widdrington over Tetek again. What a joke

If you can't drop the golden one at least play the two together

Chimpster I agree about Theo. Tamworth were not worried about him at all. Let him have space as they knew he is not good enough and is way to slow. He bottled out of 3 headers and two 50/50 challenges.( Though nearly won the game) that was the gamble Tamworth took
Though he can pass it well when not under pressure, due to his lack of fitness and pace he strolls around and passes sideways back wards. Though like I said earlier no one had a really bad game for Aldershot today.....Aldershot need a striker like Tamworths number 9. 3 chances he put two in. The other Dewie saved with his arse....We need to win in the League.

Interesting game. Not a bad performance but we need wins.

Widdrington had a decent game today.

Tetek saved for the big one at Tadley.

Only wins will do

Not bothered about the league, we are clearly going after the cup treble. We’ll forget about it all when we’re parading the HSC, NLC and FAT.
