I wonder if the delay in announcing the early bird season tickets, is due to being unsure again about which league we would be in.

The local club to me (Wealdstone) have kept prices the same as last season ( £225 adult £185 Concession)
I don't know how they can afford to do that with 1,500 crowds and fighting relegation again.

Looking at the price for ST charged by the noisy neighbours, I would think ours will be around the same. I will be a bit disappointed if they are hiked much more above that.
:D In my humble opinion..Just saying

Aldershot wrote: Thu May 15, 2025 7:54 pm I used to go to all the games home and away but these days I pick and choose games. I don't want to stump up money and potentially lose £21 if for some reason I can't go. So I choose to buy on the day but dislike the fact I end up having to effectively pay a £2 tax because I like to have a choice. Especially when (with the potential exception of Woking) there is no chance of any league fixtures being sold out or even over half full. I'd assume I'm not the only one who feels this way.
I’m the same. I don’t always know if I’ll be free, so if I haven’t bought by Thursday I simply refuse to stump up the extra money. £23 for a game at our level is absolutely ridiculous.
And there is the conundrum. We expect our Division 5 admission prices to be cheap, yet expect a winning team and great facilities. We are happy to buy a round of drinks in the pub for 4 people for £ 20 odd, happy to pay £ 20 odd per head for a curry in the local Indian. Happy to pay £ 15 to £ 20 for a cinema ticket or theatre seat. Not having a dig, but Premier League and League sides, whilst having larger overheads, get immense tv money. We know that currently the club is losing £ 300k to £ 400k per annum just to stand still. Times are hard for so many, but we have to understand the pure economics of basically surviving on a 2.5k gate every two weeks with little other income streams available.
I understand that, but my main issue is that every season we have one of (if not the) most expensive tickets in the league. If other teams at our level, and often at the level above, can keep prices at a certain level, I don't get why we can't.

It would be quite interesting to see a list of all 24 NL teams last season and their starting prices for adult season tickets and also for matchday ticket prices (excluding early bird sales). I don't use AI but perhaps that could give the answer?

Fair play to Uxbridge for not fleecing the fans. I hope they get a lot of people who take up the offer and I wish them well for next season.

Deane wood also went on record saying

Due to the actions of a small minority, we have been forced to implement enhanced security measures at our matches. Whilst necessary, these measures come at a significant cost. As a result, there will be changes to both the pricing and structure of season tickets for next season to help offset this additional expense.

So all STHs can blame the pitch invading smoke bomb wielding little scrotes who think they they are funny and only turn up for Woking games for the price increases next season.

I'm not sure if I buy this comment. I appreciate there is absolutely an increase in security measures but I don't think this is the reason for an increase in costs on the innocent fans. I think it's just a handy excuse for bumping up the prices. That being said we do have a fair few oiks who seem to go more for trouble than for the football. At Wembley we had some idiot shouting "Come On You Shots!" during the minutes silence and we also had some pathetic stickers being worn by some of the 'Yoof' - one of which said "More Gear, Less Kier" with the Shots logo on it

I did an exercise a few years back and IIRC only Chesterfield were more expensive than us. I'll do the same this season when all the pricing is available and I'll be stunned if we're not in the top five.

This year can we actually have the option of a payment plan option. We've talked about it enough times in the past.
The club can say how things have gone up so changes have to be made, is the same for fans who have had hikes in their own bills.

I see woking are doing a 3 month payment plan like alot of other clubs do and think it's about time we give the option as well especially if we're going to be upping the ticket prices.

I think this would be exactly the right gesture to balance any necessary increase. I really hope the club have considered this.
I know the pitch renonvation is a one-off cost; but the rest of the club costs are 90% wages ; and they get paid monthly. So there is no cashflow reason to take monies in advance - other than tradition.

Woking are offering something like this in 3 month stage payments, so it’s definitely doable.

I don't understand this payment in stages onus on the club. This should be part of the fans doing it for themselves. Birdman has said it often enough that fans should put aside a set sum every month and then they will be able to pay for a season ticket in full. Why should the club do it when we, as fans, don't.

If the club could accept payments via PayPal people could spread the cost over 3 months but thr club still get all the money upfront.. so win win
