We are all Aldershot supporters (presumably) and given the level that we've played at for most of our 99 year history or even 33 year history if we just consider ATFC the FA Trophy is a big deal. It is a national competition, with a final at Wembley. If we don't consider winning that worthy of an open top bus parade, then nothing we will ever achieve will likely to meet that criteria.

In addition, we always complain that the club don't do enough to attract new fans, but this is one such opportunity. Getting to Wembley, winning the FA trophy is the sort of thing we need to capitalise on. We need to tap in to that feel good factor and continue to advertise the club to the town. Get more and more people to the club on a regular basis.

Just think, if we continued to average around 2400 people with an average ticket price of sat £15, taking into account concessions and 23 games per season, that is gate receipts of £828,000. If we changed that to averaging 7000 people every week, that is gate receipts of £2,415,000. That's a big difference in our wage budget and quality of player we can attract.

There was a decent number that turned out tonight and a very positive atmosphere created. Let's hope this is the start of some more positivity around the club and the town, so well done to ATFC for putting it all on.

It was a fantastic evening. It proves that the town that gets such a bad press is still alive and kicking beneath the outward decline. It was nice to see an appropriately red and blue Nepali flag being held high on the pitch and encouraging to see so many from the community in attendance.
The town is finally seeing some long awaited redevelopment and if we can just get this pesky ground development sorted then I’ve a feeling there’s good times ahead for both the town and club.

Wow! What a brilliant evening of celebration. Great to see so many Shots fans, the people of Aldershot and many families turn up at the ground and outside on the High Street. Any estimates of the turnout?

I hope it was a fitting farewell for those players not staying with us for next season including our magnificent three loanees at the back, Will Armitage, Dan Ellison and Luca Woodhouse. Great for Jack Barham to receive Man of The Match. Certainly Dan Ellison deserved an award. Nothing got passed him including the ball and he scored that crucial 2nd goal.

Fan-tastic!!
