Thank You
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all at Aldershot Town.
I first went to the Rec in 1970, had a season ticket for years, and have followed them around the country. Age and distance means I don’t get to see them as much these days, but I just had to be there yesterday. I was beginning to think that I would never get to see the Shots at Wembley.
It was emotional. Walking up Wembley Way in my Aldershot shirt. Seeing our name and badge on the big screens, our team walking out of the tunnel, the performance and goals, the atmosphere, the trophy presentation and celebrations. I didn’t want to leave at the end.
Apart from the personal stuff like getting married, my children, it was one of the best days of my life. There were happy tears. Thank you all.
