When I first heard about this I thought it was a joke.

I hope anyone who attends has a fun and enjoyable evening!

The only thing that’s odd for me is a Monday evening, Saturday afternoon about 4 o’clock would be nice other than that go for it!

I remember them doing it during the day one year, they went round all the schools.
No idea what they'd won but it have been late 60's/early 70's

It’s the FA Trophy.
And?
I'll reiterate Alex's point. It's the FA Trophy FFS.

League win or gaining promotion, maybe more important and warranting it.

Weekend would be nice but I wonder if staff and players will be on their holidays?

Hoping to get down tomorrow. Should be fun!

So if the FA Trophy doesn't matter why bother going today?

This will make people in the town proud and may encourage them to pop along next season if they've not been before or aren't regulars. It's a great way to showcase the club and maximise the attention they've rightfully earned today.

Great chance to build on the feel good factor from today.

Lets not forget - the FA Trophy is the FA Cup for non-league football, so winning this competition is a major achievement!
Winning the league is a bigger milestone, but behind that, winning the FA Trophy at Wembley as a National League side is as big as it gets - the fans and the players/staff absolutely deserve the open top bus.

I agree it would have been more convenient to have it next weekend, but I'm guessing the players/staff will be wanting to head off on their holidays as they only have a limited amount of time before next season starts
