Tommy's Pre-Match Interview
Re: Tommy's Pre-Match Interview
Good interview that. Now get us the icing on the cake please Tommy

I am NOT stevieshot
Re: Tommy's Pre-Match Interview
OK, Nobby. Understood.
It is of course Tommy's decision. But if he makes bad ones, he has to expect flak.
As for priorities, there is actually no need whatsoever to prioritise the FA Trophy over the league or vice versa. It’s a false dichotomy. You simply aim to win all your important games. All of them.

Re: Tommy's Pre-Match Interview
Just for a moment I thought that a general air of happiness, togetherness and bonhomie had broken out on ShotsWeb and that we were all going to enjoy our once-in-lifetime day out at Wembley.
But then Old Bob reassured me that it hadn't.

Ah, but LA, you can enjoy happiness, togetherness, bonhomie, all those things, without losing a grip on reality. We can all enjoy the moment ... league safety and a Wembley appearance, maybe even a Wembley win. Whyever not?latimeralder wrote: ↑Sat May 10, 2025 7:41 pm Just for a moment I thought that a general air of happiness, togetherness and bonhomie had broken out on ShotsWeb and that we were all going to enjoy our once-in-lifetime day out at Wembley.

I sincerely hope for the sake of our younger fans that tomorrow is not a once-in-a-lifetime day out. OK, it probably will be for old farts like me, but I'd like to think Tommy and his team have broken the hoodoo and there will be future trips to Wembley.
Re: Tommy's Pre-Match Interview
Tomorrow is going to be great. I’m not going desperate for us to win, of course that is what I want, but more than that it is the come togetherness of all the Shots fraternity from over the years, to get in the pub, have a drink, acquaint with those from near and far and show everyone how much noise we can make.
If we score it will be mental, if we win I will be in La La Land. I can’t wait to get on the train tomorrow.
Come On The Shots, let’s have the best day out ever!

team on a small budget, but this is football and anything can happen on the day. Relish the occasion whatever the result.

Yeah, good point, but I don’t think that’s what he meant.ShottyMcShotface wrote: ↑Sat May 10, 2025 12:59 pmGood interview I thought.FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Sat May 10, 2025 12:16 pm Nothing about Hargreaves.
“Neither club have played at Wembley”. Spennymoor won the Vase there in 2013.
When he said neither club, I took it as Aldershot FC & Aldershot Town FC.
RE: Hargreaves - playing team selection close to his chest maybe?
Anyway, roll on next season!

Re: Tommy's Pre-Match Interview
Hoping the club can release some sort of post-match interview with Tommy. It was a shame not to get one yesterday, although totally understandable given the chaos of the celebrations. I'd like to hear his take on the game.

I think there has been something somewhere and he comes out with one of his favourite sayings, again!
