We turn the spotlight on Sunday afternoon with an in-depth preview of the Isuzu FA Trophy Final against Aldershot Town at Wembley.

Aldershot Town v Spennymoor Town
FA Trophy Final
Sunday 11th May 2025, 4.15pm
Wembley Stadium

The Opposition
Aldershot Town finished 16th in the National League during 2024/25, recovering from an inconsistent start to keep distance between themselves and the bottom four.

A wonderful sequence of results during February, March and into April saw them stabilise in the division, winning an impressive 9 out of 12 in all competitions.

The Hampshire outfit saw off Wealdstone, Chertsey Town, Boreham Wood, Sittingbourne in the FA Trophy before booking their place at Wembley with a stunning late winner in their semi-final against Woking.

Shots boss Tommy Widdrington won promotion from League Two with Moors counterpart Graeme Lee in 2002/03 when the pair played together at Hartlepool United.

Previous Meeting
Sunday’s FA Trophy Final will be the first time that Moors and Aldershot Town have ever played each other in competitive action.

Referee
Lewis Smith will be the man in charge of Sunday’s FA Trophy Final at Wembley, and he will be assisted by Andrew Fox and Sam Lewis. Elliot Bell is the Fourth Official.

Competition Rules
Both sides are permitted to name seven substitutes for Saturday’s FA Trophy Final, of which five can be used at any time throughout the game.

If the game is all-square at 90 minutes, then there will be a period of 30 minutes extra time and if the score is still level then the game will be decided on a penalty shootout.

Tickets
Fans must buy their tickets direct from Wembley’s Tickets Portal.

Live Coverage
Sunday’s FA Trophy Final will be televised live on TNT Sport 4.

BBC Tees will be providing full live commentary from Wembley with cup-tied Moors defender Ben Pollock joining Matty Nixon for coverage of the game.

There will be no commentary on Durham OnAir for Sunday’s fixture.

Betting Odds
Aldershot Town have been installed as 17/20 favourites to win inside 90 minutes on Sunday, while Moors are rated a 3/1 shot for victory and the odds are 13/5 on the game going to extra time.
Bloody hell, mate. People are (mostly) clever enough to click on a link that you provide. (Thank you for that.)

You don't have to reproduce the text verbatim and you (especially) don't have to employ the dumbed-down tabloid technique of allocating a full paragraph to every single sentence.

Sorry if I seem unappreciative of your efforts.

Oh come on we have fans asking if they have to print the tickets out in black and white or colour on other outlets

Apologies if it has already been recorded but on the Spennymoor Town site they state that 3,900 tickets have been sold to their fans. What's the latest with us?

I and my daughter are in a neutral accessible area near the halfway line, so I'll be singing on my own!
