OK, take it back. That does look more like a clearance doesn't it? I'm sure he had a rough idea of what he was doing but it wasn't how it had seemed to me in real time. Fair play, I think you're right.Alex wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 10:20 pmhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=b7dvEWDG9 ... You could see Barham had the beating of the defender as soon as Theo played the ball through.

Their goal was bad wasn't it? No pressure on the crosser, Woodhouse runs under it, Frost doesn't defend back post. Far too easy for this level.

Maybe some will be told a contract offer will depend on your Wembley performance ?Alex wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 11:17 amMaybe some will be told a contract offer will depend on your Wembley performance?
Perhaps if any are told on Thursday they are no longer wanted they’ll be able to enjoy Wembley more as a spectator?
Pros and cons to most things.
I have no issue with Tommy wanting to get this sorted early. Hopefully his son will be told he won’t be staying!

You are right, Alex, I think. Look at Widdrington as the play develops and the ball comes to him. He is not looking upfield at all. He cannot have known where Barham was. I'm 95% sure it's a hoofed clearance.Alex wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 10:20 pmhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=b7dvEWDG9 ... Look prior to that, he knew where Barham was and instinctively played the ball into that position. His general awareness and reading of the game can only in my opinion be matched by Billy Dane and his magic boots.Old Bob wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 5:59 pmYou are right, Alex, I think. I assume from your last sentence, Brian, that you are not being entirely seriousbrian bloomfield wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 5:12 pmLook prior to that, he knew where Barham was and instinctively played the ball into that position.
