Hopefully the club haven't quietly given him a contract extension on the quiet.....He certainly needs to improve his signings and our league form for next season if it's going to be beyond the 25/26 season.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they have and neither party want to publicise it.

Many people will ask “Why do we need to know?”!

Is TW not on a rolling 1 year deal?

No, he signed a two year extension last year :- https://www.theshots.co.uk/tommy-widdri ... -contract/

Banbury Shot wrote: Tue May 06, 2025 8:57 am Well I enjoyed it. Theo had a good game I thought. Tetek made the difference when he came on.
Spot on, Banbury Shot

Tetek is class....like Chislett was when he played a similar role. Always has time on the ball and the brain to use it well

And tho' Theo is never going to be a Premiership player, he's an honest journeyman who mostly does a decent job for us.

Does he have faults? Of course - that's why he'll never be in the Premiership

But can he do anything about who his father is? No.
Chislett and Tetek are totally different types of player and do not play in a similar role!

Theo was mostly fine yesterday. But as others keep saying. He’s okay when he has time and space to pick a pass, but struggles when closed down quickly. Still too slow tracking back and is always a yard or two slower to react than an opposing player.

It’s no good us getting just 3 or 4 half decent performances out of him in a season. We need more than that.

He’s simply not good enough!

Why not wait until next week.
Maybe some will be told a contract offer will depend on your Wembley performance?

Perhaps if any are told on Thursday they are no longer wanted they’ll be able to enjoy Wembley more as a spectator?

Pros and cons to most things.

I have no issue with Tommy wanting to get this sorted early. Hopefully his son will be told he won’t be staying!

Hate to say this but anyone else getting the same feeling as me that dark clouds are gathering around the club again, despite the excitement to come on our day out on Sunday? I found Dean Woods programme article yesterday quite disturbing. Not sure it was the right timing but it provided a reality check for sure and it"s clear that there is a whole load of work to be done this Summer, both on and off the pitch. All of which is going to cost money, and a lot of it at that.
and Richard Walden puts the Shots 1-0 up against Man Utd

Just saying....
Well said that man, everybody is quick to jump on Theo negatively. But at times he has the ability to produce a match winning pass.

That was just a hopeful clearance that landed in the right area

I think you need another look, it came from the training ground. Theo knew what he needed to do, and Jack knew what to expect and timed his run accordingly.

Bit of a reach to suggest that a perfectly weighted through ball with some curve that put its intended recipient clean through on goal was an accident. Theo may be many things but we know he can pick a pass.

I’m inclined to agree with Alex but hopefully we’ll get the highlights soon. You could see Barham had the beating of the defender as soon as Theo played the ball through.
