Raised his game?drewshotsfan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 9:19 amYep, give the guy a break now. From what I've read on here he has raised his game in the last few matches. Criticize his performance after you've seen it, not before. The players need positivity before the big game
Some think he has, others not so much.
Tuesday he was his usual self.
And even if he has raised his game, why now?

form ebbs and flows throughout the season. Maybe his injury gave his legs a breather. Maybe the controversy made him reflect. Maybe he found inner peace on the golf course and it's given him a lovely zen like feeling out there. Who can say? Anyway, he is going to start I'm sure because Maja has disappeared into first aid land again and Anderson's cup tied, and there aren't any spare CB for Woodhouse to step out. And nobody else has played CM with any distinction. So it is what it is.

Im.with Alex on this one, Turlesday wasn't his worst game, but with still painfully slow picking up players and tracking back.
First half Fylde had a throw on the north side about 18 yards from goal. Theo was day dreaming and not picking up his man, who received the ball, had space to turn and shoot while Theo chased his shadow.
Not good enough generally and was totally outshone by Anderson on the night.
Sadly we all know he will start Saturday, given the lack of competition in the middle, which will in turn stifle Hargreaves creativity.

Referee for Saturday is Aaron Bannister who also took charge of the Sittingbourne game. Was OK from memory.

Good the club showing a sensible idea . Whether the stewards will actually implement it is another thing

That is a good idea. I was wondering if people might try to get in to the other ends then come round to the East Bank (which sold out quickly).

I hope the match does not go to penalties, my mind goes back four years to Feb' 2021 when we played in the Trophy quarter final v Hereford. Although we put out a strong side with Joel Nouble, Shadrach Ogie, Ricky Miller etc in our starting eleven and Dinesh Gillela and Ben Shroll being two of our subs Hereford were unlucky to be taken to pens with Josh Rees equalising in added time. With Mo Bettamer missing his spot kick Hereford progressed to the semi's where they beat Woking but they lost to Hornchurch in the final at Wembley.
