You can't beat a bit of Ken Dodd

Great result, great team effort, problems with buffering here so missed loads of the game.

Steve Gibb said Corbett had a good game & gave him MOM, maybe he will be the secret weapon on Saturday. A good professional performance by the sound of it.

I know we did this earlier in the week but it's not brainless is it? In his mind he's sacrificing a bit today to get a bit of an edge on Saturday. You might not agree but I think it's a perfectly reasonable approach. Now Hargreaves and Barrett and Jones are fresh and we got 3 pts anyway. Might not matter but it's a game of fine margins so you do what you can to out odds in your favour.

Sorry Brian, but I’m in north Wales today and tomorrow on business, and RAF Valley informed me firmly that they couldn’t get me back to Farnborough for the game. Good win though this evening… looking forward to Saturday.brian bloomfield wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 9:04 pmSaving for Saturday I suppose, but still a shocking attendance.

First half we rode our luck a bit but got our noses in front. Second half was better, came so close to putting the game to bed earlier than we did, still had to be resilient in defence, Laing had a great game, we had missed Ellison in the heart of the back 3. Dewhurst made several important stops whilst Keane Anderson keeps getting better and better in the midfield.
As said above, a professional job done. Hopefully Aaron Jones was just a precautionary sub. Will be a bit tougher if both him and Frost are out for Saturday.

Hmmm. By his standards that was good from Corbett but he's still got so much to learn. Some skill but poor football intelligence. Ellison motm for me.Graham Stovold wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 9:54 pm Steve Gibb said Corbett had a good game & gave him MOM, maybe he will be the secret weapon on Saturday. Fylde pressured us for the first 10-15 minutes of each half, but that was a decent performance.
Well done lads!
Bring on Saturday!!!

Fylde heads seemed to go second half. I think they're in big trouble. Good job by the team, everyone showed up in the end. Nice for Levi to get a decent game under his belt, it's been a struggle but maybe he needed some games. Hope he's not needed Saturday mind but good for the lad to do his bit.

A shame Keane Anderson is cup tied for Saturday - he's improving with every game. Not only mobile but competitive too and has a good range of passing.

I was there tonight in a disappointing crowd
Tommy will be delighted having rotated and rested some tired legs. Corbs at LWB worked well and he got an assist and had a shot tipped out the corner
Dewy made some good saves but fylde looked poor and we were clinical.
Keane Anderson was excellent I thought and my MoM
Momentum going into Saturday with fresh legs. A good night and job done. We were safe before tonight but that rubber stamps it.
