Again, they were both onside.

It was a goal.

We won 3-2.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Not sure how you're so certain, practically impossible for the human eye to track from frosts boot on one side of the pitch across to Barham over the other on an angle like that. Perhaps you have astounding panoramic vision. Maybe that explains things.

Someone once said that you should never try to tell someone how to enjoy their interests. Seems wise to me. If people want to discuss then that seems alright.

Enjoy your weekend too!

Only on ShotsWeb can so many of our 'supporters' spend so much time and effort trying to prove by hook or by crook that we DIDN'T win the match.

Other clubs have Moaners Corner

Perhaps Shotsweb should have a 'DeathWish Dungeon' or similar...

Nobody's doing anything of the sort. We were well overdue some luck but a decent number of people thought the winner was offside. Seeing that it could be the big turning point in the season it's okay to discuss it I reckon. I was juts trying to say that I find people's certainty on this surprising but it doesn't matter now.

I will leave it now and we can all go back to our usual insightful moaning about theo Widdrington.

Maybe Mullins didn't put that away after all. Still think Jack was offside. But everything that can go wrong on the pitch has gone wrong so we were due a bit of luck.

Just watching back on dazn and it was a pretty relentless pace second half. Fair play to them for giving it everything.
I was very surprised at the pace of the game particularly as the soft ground must of sapped their legs.
The benefit of a young side. Lots of energy. There are some disbenefits, but energy is a big plus when it's really required/when a side has to batter another for while ... up to the 95th minute.

Not trying to prove we didn’t win as Hartlepool’s 2nd goal shouldn’t have counted. We deserved to win, had enough chances to win several games let alone one game. Just saying at the time I thought Barham was offside, I’m happy to be wrong.

The sheer number of chances we created was really encouraging!! A little more bite in the penalty box and we might actually become a decent side.

Two good saves from Dewhurst.

100% a clear two hand push albeit a soft push on Woodhouse for the equaliser.

Barham should have had at least a hat trick if not 4.

No way of telling if our winner was offside. With no one marking him, Barham had so much space to time his run and drop in behind them. At the time it felt like he was offside but to be honest I was watching where the ball was.
When Barham received the ball he was in an offside position. However, at the moment the ball was kicked to him he wasn’t.
He can't be in an off side postion when he recieved the ball, cos he was not in an off side postion when the ball was kicked !

Isn’t that what I’m saying but not in so many words?
I was crediting supporters with having the knowledge of knowing the difference between being onside when the ball is kicked but when it’s received a player can be in an offside position but not actually be offside because of where he was when the ball was passed (or in this instance, crossed) to him.
