Postponements cost the club ££ that it can ill afford. We as a club suffer a huge drop off in attendances for midweek games, more than most others do. Not only that we face a fixture pile up with the perfect storm of even more postponements on top of TW's fixation with minor cup competitions adding to the schedule in my view to deflect the real problems of poor league form . All this in a week where, as many predicted, we finally dropped into the bottom four. Communication and connection with the fans is at an all time low with many long term supporters now saying that they have had enough. Can things get much worse from here?

And its going to cost £500,000

It does seem everyone is struggling with their pitches right now

All part of the grand plan perhaps 🤔

You would like to think they would appreciate the offer of some support and help.

In this evening's pitch inspection by a local referee the pitch was deemed unplayable as things stand.

Seems to have just stopped here in Alton.

Unless we have a plan for people to bed working under the lights at 4am it's hard to see how the game will be on. And even that might not be enough.

A few weeks ago I posted here an article that I had found about the clubs pitch and drainage. It confirmed that the drains were Hunter plastic and you would think laid within the past 20 odd years.

Working in building…Shingle in the drainage run would indicate a fracture upstream, normally viewed by lifting manhole or storm cover. Cost to repair vast, involve digging up and relaying with new or a cheaper alternative by re lining the original.

Yeah pretty strong rain still. I'm about 10 mins from the ground on foot. I think we're looking at a minor miracle here tbh. That or a ref with a different approach to these things.

If there’s many more postponements doesn’t the club risk getting fined, I’m certain that has happened in the past with other clubs ?

If the game's off I'll go the Dorking v Fanborogh.

Or Worthing v Salisbury.
