How long before we are ordered to play games away from the rec
Re: hows the pitch
The pitch must be completely knackered - an absolute shambles. A shocking level of negligence from those running this once great club. Might be time to start considering an alternative venue to get these games played.

Re: hows the pitch
We have had no rain for 2 weeks and it is dry from 1am tonight until kick off
if this game is postponed we will not play on it again this season.

Re: hows the pitch
Well the lack of funds for a 3rd home game must be crippling ,I wouldn't bet on the next home game will be on . If this is off its farcical. If home games get moved can I have money back on my season ticket Shahid ?
Re: hows the pitch
All of this extra revenue from pointless cup competitions and R******g reserves swallowed up on pitch repairs that will need to be carried out (if they ever are). The master businessman strikes again.

Re: hows the pitch
Just because there’s been no rain doesn’t mean the pitch will be bone dry, for most of those two weeks it’s been very cold and overcast with little or no sun or breeze, both of which the pitch needs to dry. I played golf this morning for the first time in a few weeks and the fairways, which are in far better nick than our pitch, are still very, very soft. Depending how much rain we get this afternoon and overnight will make an early decision tricky I’m afraid.redandbluescb wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 1:34 pm We have had no rain for 2 weeks and it is dry from 1am tonight until kick off

But the weather has been 'normal' for the time of year and the Fylde game was the only one off in the whole NL League. How can that be explained?Turnkey wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 1:40 pmJust because there’s been no rain doesn’t mean the pitch will be bone dry, for most of those two weeks it’s been very cold and overcast with little or no sun or breeze, both of which the pitch needs to dry. Got a point though hasn’t he? It’s been remarkably dry for the time of year over the last couple of weeks. Our game was the only game to be called off at any decent sort of level last time around. If it’s called off again then there are serious problems.anonymouse wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 1:39 pm. . . . . . and there speaks the armchair expert from behind his keyboard.redandbluescb wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 1:34 pm We have had no rain for 2 weeks and it is dry from 1am tonight until kick off

This is the problem with our illustrious leader! He just likes to feel important by being members of such groups, he just wants his gong! No idea what for but that is the UK for youlowerbourneshot wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 1:49 pmArmchair or not if a 3rd lge game is off in a row the conclusion is our pitch is woeful . Re: hows the pitch
Take there is no chance of the club ringing Farnborough and politely asking if there's any chance of using their place for the day?
Would be a bugger to have another game off tomorrow especially as its saying its ment to be a sunny day and try and avoid the pain for the stray shots who have travelled all this way.

It’s not been normal for this time of year, I can’t remember the last winter we had the extended periods of cold, overcast damp weather. Yes, the pitch is knackered, but we’re not alone with that.Mytshot wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 1:43 pmTurnkey wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 1:40 pmJust because there’s been no rain doesn’t mean the pitch will be bone dry, for most of those two weeks it’s been very cold and overcast with little or no sun or breeze, both of which the pitch needs to dry.
