We seemed to improve after Theo assaulted that guy and we were ‘forced’ to have Tetek, Frost and Hargreaves in the middle.Gone West wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 8:54 pmBecause their surname isn’t Widdrington. WTF wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 8:53 pmThere's no way the club would put builders sand on the pitch. There would have been I'm sure an appropriate amount of dressing sand for match day use on site.HackJowarth wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 8:47 pmBlimey! Building Sand has some chemical properties. Staying in the league is paramount and top priority.Being undefeated (prior to today) in 9 counts for little when you consider the number of draws , the teams that were amateur and those that were youth.
There appeared no sense of reality today with our teams performance that lacked intensity, passion and endeavour

They’ll suddenly start caring and playing well when it’s too late.Alf W wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 9:38 pm Staying in the league is paramount and top priority.Being undefeated (prior to today) in 9 counts for little when you consider the number of draws , the teams that were amateur and those that were youth.

Then we’ll all be told the lads gave it a very good go at staying up and only just fell short!

In fairness we have no idea if Manny Maja is the answer as he's barely played for us. But he's had two NLS loans and hasn't set the world on fire, ended up warming the bench at both Hemel and Truro.redandbluescb wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 8:47 pm Why not play Madja and Frost in central midfield ?????????.
I'd play Tetek and Hargreaves there with Frost at RB, unless we can bring in someone better.

Errr, I don't know if you realise, Chimpster, but we already have the best, we've got Theo.chimpster99 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 9:52 pm

Just seen the ‘highlights’
Not much from us at all - a poor back heel thing from Henry and rubbish free kick from Barrett
Theo is simply embarrassing - running back with their attackers for the first goal he was dreading water and couldn’t get near them. Second goal he should never be letting the guy shoot
Awful

We started with more possession and knocking it around the back without much threat, but once they caught us on the break with the first goal it Was men against boys they won every battle we are so weak physically.
Agree with others let’s play our best side not the manager’s favourites Frost is not comfortable playing left side Theo pathetic effort to stop there second goal not good enough as is our midfield in general.
Tetek where is he (top secret) Widdrington doesn’t want us to know, Maja never given a chance. Maybe bring Jenkins in at the back and move Woodhouse into midfield the lad is class Jones on left Frost in middle with Woodhouse.

Physicality is our downfall, we certainly have the skill but not at a high enough relevance to get away with a team which just doesn't have the backbone to grind out results. Where are the real leaders on the pitch, even Sam Hatton would get into this team.Steve Melledew wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 10:43 pm We started with more possession and knocking it around the back without much threat, but once they caught us on the break with the first goal it Was men against boys they won every battle we are so weak physically.

The colour of the sand on the pitch in the club photos was very orange, and didn't look like any sort of pitch sand I've seen used elsewhere. Fingers crossed!WTF wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 8:53 pmYes chemicals and salt, a big grass killer!HackJowarth wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 8:47 pmBlimey! Building Sand has some chemical properties. It's clear we can't go on like this . Selection strategy needs a complete revamp. We aren't playing players in best positions to give us a chance and occasionally decent players left out. I'm afraid most clubs in this situation change manager and as much as that pains me ,with the repetitive errors it's time to change. It all needs a shake up. Who would be a decent replacement?
Re: Eastleigh 2-0 Aldershot Town - Saturday 15th February 2025 (Match Day Thread)
Tommy's next excuse will be that there are too many games in a short period of time, injuries and having to take care of players....It won't wash with me, when he was telling us how great the National League Cup was, many of us were saying that it was unnecessary matches and risking injury to vital players.
