How can anyone defend a performance like that ?Hanys derby, relegation struggle and we barely managed a shot all afternoon .Jones should not, as captain,be responding to some of the 700+ away fans who have spent their money to follow us in 19th position .The performance is indefensible
Not defending the performance, but I saw a lot of abuse being shouted by a few fans, the players don’t deserve that.
Of course they do, who else do you blame ? 🤷‍♂️
Players BEING ABUSED is simply wrong, criticism is one thing, but being abusive ( like what I witnessed) is out of order imo.

The problem has been clear to me all season - and tbh, was a problem last season, but the goals from Stokes and Tolaj papered over the cracks. James Rowe alluded to it in commentary today. Our midfield - and not just Theo - is too lightweight and lack that game awareness. Theo, Cam and Dejan not only don't give us an attacking threat, but more importantly, are easily overpowered and do not stop the opposition getting through to our defence Even the best defenders - and we do have some good young defenders - cannot keep clean sheets when they are under so much pressure all the time.

Now, it might be easy to see the problem but how do you solve it? The type of player we need costs big bucks which we don't have. However, I think that rather than increase the size of the squad as TW did, it might have been better to splash the cash on one or two big midfield signings who could have made all the difference defensively. Quality rather than quantity. Experience rather than promise.

I really don’t care about anything our ex assistant James Rowe has to say!

He should be nowhere near a commentary box for BBC Radio Surrey.

I think at this point it's about organisation. The team is somehow short of options up front, overmanned in midfield, and stretched at the back. So where is everyone? Where do we have numerical advantages on the pitch? Because that's all football is, make the pitch big when you have the ball, and small when they do. We're the opposite. Not to sound like a dinosaur, but back to basics, 4-4-2 and make yourselves hard to beat.

Is the club being run into the ground deliberately, debts, awful team, mythical lease and a pitch that can't be used for football but an ideal plot of building land.
Is that why, allegedly, building sand was put on the pitch?

Play 3 at the back and only 1 up front.

It's mind boggling we are so weak in midfield when there's supposedly SIX players in between Barham and Armitage/Woodhouse/Scott.

It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

Said it all along we will vacate to Farnborough while building work of the houses is done ,surprise surprise there won't be enough money to rebuild the ground but a green space will be left where the pitch is . It will be still be ok for sports I.e Sunday league . While Shahid scoots off we will be left at Farnborough at Isthmian or southern lge standard to sink or swim .

This sounds horribly plausible ... I do hope you're wrong though.

We were sh*t today. Frosty is one of the few players who cares .... but why is he being played at LWB when he is a decent RWB and naturally a midfielder?

Answer: so favourites can occupy those positions - Theo at CM and AJ at RB ...

Why is our best LWB (Ryan Jones) parked on the bench, then brought on to a CM position with just 15 mins to go?

Answer: see above

You expect to see this kind of blind spot for sons/mates/favourites in the youth game - but not in the professional sphere. It's quite embarrassing to watch.

Rather wishing I hadn't already booked Southend tickets ....

The rot started towards the end of last season.

We were on track for a play off spot and then the rot set in.

We finished last season on relegation form, lost our play off position and our dreadful form continued into this season.
144ish different grounds just watching the Shots.

With this midweek seeing the following fixtures;

Fylde Vs Boston
Southend Vs Aldershot
Braintree Vs Wealdstone

It certainly seems feasible that by 10pm on Wednesday night we will be in the bottom 4.

W3, D1, L2 wasn’t an awful opening 6 games to this season, IMO

We will be, and we’ll be stuck there for the remainder of this season!

Blimey! Building Sand has some chemical properties. It could well kill the grass, if there was any grass left to kill lol
