I think it should be broadcast live on YouTube to ensure no funny business...

It needs an independent adjudicator

The first ballot sent out to Season Ticket Holders should be a simple question
"Do you want to be in the ballot"
Reply within 48 hours with YES or you're not in with a chance
That would whittle the numbers down

I mentioned this before, I wouldn't even ask them the question, just make them register by a certain date, it is still too easy to answer your question with a yes when you haven't really got any intention of going.

The way the club has gone about the whole business does appear to be playing into the black market.

Surely we (season ticket holders) could have all logged onto fanbase and purchased a 50p ticket to have a chance to be in the ballot. Would have been simple?

Yes joe bloggs has a ticket but doesn't want to go so that ticket is on hold for 48 hours ,but it's Aldershot . I'd still like to see how they do it ,they could just pick st number 1 to 195 nobody would know .

Said it before I'm sure the club know where the 195 tickets are going already and whose getting one

I like that idea because then if you really do want to go you would risk 50p for the chance of even being in the ballot

All proceeds could go towards the pitch maintenance fund!

But there'd still be the old school crowd that claim not to be able to get onto fan base and how it's not fair on them

Of course they know. They have already announced they will be going in a ballot to season ticket holders. Perhaps you missed that bit in the original announcement.
You wouldn't be implying anything else would you!!!

You seem to be implying that there’s some skulduggery going on ‘92. If so then why don’t you contact Mark Butler with your concerns. If he comes back to you and says that all ST holders will be in the draw you then have the choice of stating publicly on here that you accept what he says as gospel or you could accuse him of telling porkies.

But Birdie, conspiracy theorists don't work like that, do they?
They studiously avoid any concrete actions that would show their silly ideas to be a pile of merde. They just snipe from the sidelines.
Of course, you and I both know this, which was the point of your post.

I'm pretty sure Fanbase would charge for this. 50p might not be enough to cover the cost. But would have been worth considering if it could be made to work.

you'd think quite soon. Game's not far out now and presumably they'll need at least two rounds given likely back and forth, ballot winners needing to take tickets and have a couple of days to pay, others going back into hat, then any second wave needing to be processed... if I were managing this I'd get details out yesterday (but as ever, I don't know what challenges they're facing).
