Re: Stuttle gone
I think we should probably reserve judgement until the window closes with regards to Stuttle.
If he is sold then we can have few complaints. If , however, he is loaned out again then we can assume they weren't best pleased with the lad warming our bench .

What a wasted opportunity with this lad. Imo massively mismanaged by our management team.
Will be very interested to see if we get a replacement in. If we don't then I fear our financial position is much worse than any of us realise.

Re: Stuttle gone
the annoying thing is that he was quite a good fit for how we play, big, fast, decent in the air. Feels like the management got a bit too comfortable just running Barham out there every game. If there's a plan B in all this I really expect it to be a giant lump, nothing else would really make sense.
Also interesting that they've had no hesitation throwing young CB into the lion's den, when usually teams are prepared to play young forwards but not always young defenders.
Who knows, for all we know he just wasn't settling and wanted to go back. But it's weird they waited so long to let him start, he finally gets to play against Oldham and we win, then it's straight back out again. Fine, Barham scored at the weekend, but I can't believe they signed Stuttle on the premise that he'd play 15 minutes every other game.

Junior Morias has just gone back to Notts from Daggers, get him in if only to ease the pressure of Barrett not being the fattest player in the side.brian bloomfield wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 2:32 pm That's very disappointing, maybe someone else coming in.

Re: Stuttle gone
Stuttle made 8 appearances and started 1 League game Oldham away, my view is that he was asked to be pulled back even if the club says otherwise. A forward wants to play leading the line not out on the wing. Being recalled after one month is very usual after a contract is signed till the end of the season.

Re: Stuttle gone
Barham gives 100 % evvery game but is not a natural finisher we now
have no centre forwards in a 19 man squad if we dont sign anyone we
need to bring Ollie Bray back. Stuttle was traeted abysmaly.

Young Edward 0 goals in 5 games for us in 1985 on loan from Millwall went on to have a reasonable career

Danny Hylton available......if only we had some money

Go Jonny, go....but we didn't mean back to Bournemouth.
Thanks for your contributions and being such a nuisance to opposing defences.
Perhaps he'll be back with us sometime unless he's being loaned to a League One club. Maybe he'll be on the Bournemouth subs bench before you know it!

Re: Stuttle gone
it's another one where you'd hope someone sheds a bit of light on things at some point. Ideally in the pre-game interview with Tommy. I think it's reasonable to ask what we think our options are now, presumably Mullins or something as emergency backup given that Hady's injured and Bray's somewhere else. They've done so well finding a couple of really good young CB so hopefully a CF is out there somewhere.
Re: Stuttle gone
It’s unlikely that we are going to get in anyone permanent at this stage of the season so it’s probably going to be another young loan player that is going to struggle to adapt more than halfway through the season in a struggling side.
I’ll say it again that the club is very poor at investing AND retaining decent forwards. This should have been sorted at the start of the season. The money raised from the sale of Tolaj SHOULD have got a fairly decent replacement, maybe not like-for-like as he was an exceptional player for this level, but definitely not paying a fee for Corbett and being told that ‘he’s a better finisher than Tolaj.’ It also worries me that our scouting system is not able to identify the type of player we need and as we know has messed up quite a few signings this season.

Re: Stuttle gone
god I forgot about Corbett. He probably earned some minutes with that hat-trick, then also disappeared.
