Club Fine
Re: Club Fine
I feel that it's something the Police should have been involved in as there was/is a potential danger to life. They would have the power to stop and search on entrance to the ground etc. Security guards do not have the same powers.....I wonder if the Police were contacted?karlready wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 12:43 pm Yes, well, anyway…During the original discussions about pyro chucking, some time ago, I was assured that all areas of the EastBank were covered by camera. Probably box-ticking, because they’ve been a fat lot of use in identifying perpetrators.
Possibly, now that there’s been a monetary fine, “something “ will be done, but I’m not holding my breath.

Almost guarantee it. UEFA have officials at every game who report on all manner of things from crowd control (e.g. standing in gangways) to crowd behaviour.
They tend to run with a 2-3 week delay in the group phases but you can see who have been punished for what on their website.
Red Star Belgrade have a permanent spot on that list for banners and chants

Re: Club Fine
The club have said that CCTV has been used to identify individuals who have been banned and the details have been handed over to the police
Re: Club Fine
Many away teams are accompanied by one or two police officers from there area who act as spotters, but they are focused on the away fans not our home grown troublemakersHackJowarth wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 1:17 pmI believe a prominent ex-poster on Shotsweb proclaimed there are “Plod spotters at every home game”WTF wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 12:50 pmI feel that it's something the Police should have been involved in as there was/is a potential danger to life. Bob we can't pick and choose when we can use free speech. Can we use it as long as your happy only ?Old Bob wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 10:53 amI am all for free speech used properly and within the law. I am dead against those who use shout FREE SPEECH as an excuse for inciting sectarianism, racism, misogyny, etc. They are using it as a mantra, a brainless attempt to defend the indefensible.Rba wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 7:43 amBob that's in your opinion not in 2021s. I thought you would be a man of the people for free speech.
Bob my mother was a Catholic from county Kerry. I understand Ireland and the carnage we caused their. I don't agree with this song. I am English, though Ireland is Ireland not part of Britain...that's my opinion.
And yes it's my award based on my opinion. It’s a well-deserved award in my opinion.
And who the feck are "they" anyway in Shots2021's post? The vague use of "they" as a pointer to the sensible majority is a favourite of conspiracy theorists.
If not we should have lost in 1945 and walked round with Jackboots..
21 has not made it clear if he supports the song. He just said " WE have free speech" which we do. We can go anywhere and say what we like about anyone.
We all have the right to say and give opinions.....if we agree or not is another matter. Enjoy the football today Bob I will.
Re: Club Fine
Pay no attention to it...it's kids or young adults that sing it know no better. They will soon grow up. The Catholics also sing some nasty songs about the prodies....
As old Bob corrected me for it is Northern Ireland. Which to me should belong to Eire not because we sent a lot of Dutch prodie settlers century's ago.... That's only my opinion.
Sorry Bob and ex attendent.

What we have, and fortunately, is conditional free speech. You are not permitted to incite violence towards others, murder, hatred, slander etc etc and that's just how it should be.
Of course there are limits to free speech, and it's absurd to suggest otherwise.

Re: Club Fine
Football fans have so many good chants so many are funny too some very boderline, but thats how it is. But secterian ones have no place especially when the idiots that are singing them probably have no idea what they are singing about.

Re: Club Fine
Anyone know how much Celtic and Rangers are fined each week?
Re: Club Fine
There is no difference between sectarian and football.
It's human beings hatred of fellow human beings
We hate Woking or we hate Tottenham is also inviting violence who choses were the line is ? It's exactly the same.

Re: Club Fine
Yes ive heard that but if I'm right it happened at more than one game so it should have been dealt with after the 1st incident and those identified individuals banned etc?
