damn he's going to be an absolute monster at that level. Great signing for them. Weird how he lost his way here, really seemed to shine with Maghoma out. Which is interesting isn't it?aldershot-jg wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 10:48 am Rollin Menayese has signed for Macclesfield FC, didn’t expect him to drop to step 2 let alone step 3 but they have plenty of money and rising fast, well clear at the top of the NPL.

I could have said a source but then I’d have been attacked for that and I’d have to announce I was leaving Shotsweb for good….I know some would be cheering at that thoughtIanShots wrote:Stop name droppingSteveyAsp wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 11:30 amColeraine were interested him as Junior Mendes sent me a message and asked my thoughts, as they were looking possibly trying to sign him.aldershot-jg wrote:Rollin Menayese has signed for Macclesfield FC, didn’t expect him to drop to step 2 let alone step 3 but they have plenty of money and rising fast, well clear at the top of the NPL.

I don't think he lost his way. Just feel he wasn't given a fair chance as he wasn't in TW's fan club.Silasgoldeen wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 11:45 amdamn he's going to be an absolute monster at that level. Great signing for them. So can we assume that he didn’t get offered an opportunity at Coleraine due to your poor report on his performances?

yeah sorry I wasn't trying to apportion blame either way, but he was playing games then he wasn't. Same for Byrd. I get what they're trying to do I think but switching to 4-4-2 would get another ballplayer in the team and you could happily have run Menayese and Byrd as a centre back pairing in that setup. never mind, I'm sure they know what they're doing...Aldershot_Rob wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 12:30 pmI don't think he lost his way. Probably Although I’m not sure if they could have come anywhere near to what Macclesfield could offer.IanShots wrote:So can we assume that he didn’t get offered an opportunity at Coleraine due to your poor report on his performances?

Whilst I appreciate that people have got family and lifestyle to support, Rollin Is Football League standard surely?
Guess it is all about the money?
Though to be fair, he's just playing the long game expecting Macclesfield to be back in the football league , potentially in 18 months

About to trigger a 1 year contract extension as a result of appearances this season
New manager plays flat back 4 and CH is more suited to 3/5 at the back
Turned down offer from you guys to join us so will be one of the higher earners at the club
Received a fee for him
So apart from the fact that we're going to be very light at the back tomorrow, it's good business all round in my opinion

You could well be right but the wording on the club’s announcement gave me the impression that he’d decided to leave as he’d come in for quite a bit of stick at times in his one season here. No mention of an offer of a contract extension. I fully accept that it’s my interpretation.Bertie (WFC) wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 8:33 pmAbout to trigger a 1 year contract extension as a result of appearances this season
