The club according to the last accounts had 1.4 million cash debt and shares owned by various large shareholders Circa 1 million No one is going to stump up the money to buy the club and realign it's finances. 3 million is what I feel is needed to buy out and kick on, so we are stuck with the status quo hence why I feel we need to support now in times of trouble.

Whilst I appreciate your sentiment, WTF, I can't agree with it.
Broken promises, lack of transparency, thoughtlessness, and constant gaslighting are traits in a toxic relationship, not a family.
The club certainly had a family feel in the 1990s and 2000s when the custodians and management team worked with the supporters. Sadly, we're a million miles away from those days and it's near impossible to see them returning. That's why many fans are now preparing the divorce papers.

Spot on. That I feel is the one point which has spread most toxicity in the club right now. I feel like he is taking us all for mugs in order to satisfy his own desires and ego. If we feel it on the terraces, the other players must be feeling it even more.

I've always been worried about 1 man taking all the debt on.

Ah, but WTF didn’t say we are a dysfunctional family, did he? But I take your point. Re: Support your family Club
I think as Shots fans, we’ve seen it play out with disastrous consequences.
One regular poster who decided recently to withdraw from posting would often point out that we didn’t have a money man but would then proclaim those in charge were the best people to run the club, despite having limited finances.
A bizarre position to take in my opinion that discounted the possibility of the existence of suitable talent amongst the 1500 or so core support.
I do wonder if we would be in a better position now had the Trust bid suceeded in 2013 and a board formed with the core of, for example, Terry Owens, Graham Brookland, Brian Bloomfield.
I personally believe that we would be, not necessarily in National League but certainly heading that way.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Re: Support your family Club
I support my local club, Aldershot and guess always will, regardless but I wouldn’t ever call us a family club.I think the divide between fans, the Management and BOD has never been greater.
