There was also the incident, I think involving James Henry, where after he rounded the keeper in the Second half, and may have possibly been impeded by the keeper, but the ball ended up with both players on the ground on the byline.

Henry definitely was not ‘impeded’

I think we hit the woodwork three times
Armitage should’ve scored.
Theo should’ve pulled the ball back.
What was the third occasion?
Theo should have scored, empty goal in front of him but poor strike and missed target

The cub can update the facilities we have and carry out a sympathetic, affordable and manageable upgrade of the Rec without destroying its most historic and attractive feature. The current redevelopment plans are madness.

Agreed and having basic things like running water coming out of the taps in the men’s toilet would help, as there wasn’t any last night in the outside toilet near the away end.

I have emailed the club to let them know.
Need a decent working hand dryer or two too!
Yep that would help as well.

No he wasn't, should have shot 1st time, rather than trying to go round the 'Keeper.

Agreed. The ‘keeper did what he had to do and restricted Henry’s chances of a shot at an open goal, albeit from a narrow angle.

The question I ask myself is how can this management team turn it around when then continue to pick favourites? We don’t really have key injuries or players to come back and failing to win games has become a habit.

I suspect there’s a lot of disharmony and frustration in the squad and wouldn’t be surprised if a new manager bounce occurred purely because players were picked on merit and not the name on their shirt.
You sometimes have to wonder if all these bizarre decisions and team selections are done deliberately they’re that bizarre

You do wonder why it has gone so wrong in the last 9 months.

I think back to when I was a 12 year old in 1983 when I started following the shots and I recall my dad saying to me that Aldershot don’t want to go up to the then 3rd division because they can’t afford to even though we did go up fortuitously via the playoffs and I thought he was talking nonsense and I have to think it’s similar now with all these bizarre team selections and the dramatic collapse out of nowhere since last march

Well I did say “possibly” and not that he was for definite. I took a couple of pictures (sadly the resolution on the zoom isn’t clear) but the keeper’s arm is perilously close to a shirt pull, but the fact there was minimal protest probably tells the reality.

My apologies Postie.....i thought you were Ex Attendant...

My dad said the same though in the 70s. The only consortium that could have done something was the Chopper Harris one. Now we will never know how successful we would have been.

The ex attendant follows the wall, I don’t, my favourite other teams are the ones that win me bets, defeat Manchester United and Woking although I’m not as desperate for these to happen like I once was!

For what it is worth, (and I know that it is worth little as I am just a fan who does not know what happens at the club Monday to Friday, as our Manager stated in the Eastleigh home programme), I now have no confidence in the management team of ATFC. Not just the player selection, but the lack of MEANINGFUL communication between the management team and the fans on club 'interviews', and the lack of leadership from our Board of Directors with regards to the playing staff and the three objectives set out some time ago, re - ground 'improvements' (pray let's not let the proposed plans come to fruition, it would kill the club), solvency and promotion. Sounding more like His Majesty's Government every day!

I just cannot get my head around team selection, like many others. We need to keep a settled first 11. I feel that the manager has now lost the fans, especially after last night. I feel for TW in his health dilemma; perhaps he should stand down and take a break and give his health and the club a chance. We were warned about him by his previous club King's Lynn. We are sleep-walking into relegation, and there is no verbal direction from the club to galvanise the fight for NL survival. We need leaders. We need a vision, we need passion. Rant over - awaits flack. :D
