I’ve started a new thread as I didn’t want the statement to get lost within more comments about Saturday’s events.

CLUB STATEMENT: Solihull Moors (H)
14/01/2025
Aldershot Town Football Club would like to extend our sincerest apologies to all supporters and staff of both Aldershot Town and Solihull Moors for the late postponement of Saturday’s scheduled match at the EBB Stadium.
We fully appreciate the frustration and disappointment felt by those who had made the effort to travel long distances or had already arrived at the stadium, only to learn of the postponement just 90 minutes before kick-off. We acknowledge the inconvenience this caused to all involved, and especially to the dedicated supporters of both clubs who had been looking forward to the match.
An inspection of the pitch had been carried out the day before the match, and it was deemed to be in playable condition. However, due to significantly colder than expected overnight temperatures, an area of the pitch froze, and unfortunately, this issue went unnoticed during the final pre-match checks. As the match time approached, it became clear that the frozen section made the pitch unsafe for play.
We fully recognise the frustration caused by the late call and the disruption to travel plans for many supporters, both home and away. We deeply regret the timing of this decision and the inconvenience it caused to all involved.
We want to assure our supporters and the fans of Solihull Moors that the safety and well-being of all participants — players, staff, and supporters — is always our top priority. We have already taken steps to ensure that this kind of oversight does not happen again in the future.
We would like to thank all of our supporters for their understanding and express our gratitude to Solihull Moors for their patience and cooperation. We are committed to handling such situations in a more timely and effective manner moving forward.
Whilst we await a new date for the fixture to be arranged, please note that all tickets purchased for the original fixture will be valid for the rearranged game. If you can’t make the rearranged date, refunds can be arranged by contacting admin@theshots.co.uk via email.

Not really sure that our supporters (at least those on this site) really did show any form of understanding.

The club dropped a clanger as they have done in the past ,but the fans should understand it's the club media posting drivel on x is all the fans fault .

The clubs actions were not of the highest standard but too many posters on here showed no understanding or respect of individuals who only did their best in trying circumstances.
Who said it was the fans fault?

Trying to deflect the heat and blame to the fans for not understanding, not denying the people did the best to get the game on . It was the smugness of the club and it's employees oh look we've got the game on etc etc . I know we need the money to pay the council rent and players etc etc and of course it's a blow not to play the game financially

Yes, Alex, you are allowed to change your mind, just as others are allowed to criticise you for doing it.Alex wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 6:47 pm1) I’m human and allowed to change my mind.beechcroft wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 10:29 amYou said in an earlier post you wanted 3 points from this game, then you reply to redandblue with ''really' and a question mark !

There is nothing wrong with changing your mind in the light of new circumstances. But there weren't any, were there?
