....but surely we can all just choose not to read every post?
The way I see it, he was just trying to clarify things and correct some misinformation.
It probably says more about our attention spans if we can't live with a message that is over 50 odd words.
Meanwhile there is a thread that seems to be about biscuits and breakfast cereals ('ve chosen not to read every post) and that doesn't seem to bother anyone at all, there again, they do seem to be pretty short posts.
Fair comment cph, maybe it's because i'm a man of few words on here that i just found Richards post a tad long in explaining the reasons for his departure

In the 1960s I asked my father why he had two papers (delivered) each day as they covered the same stories. His reply was that any one paper would inevitably give a biased perspective, however if he read two differing accounts then he felt he could make his own mind up. He also told me that it was still important to recognise that one's conclusion could still be wrong, and to be open to change. At the time, social media, chat boards etc were not even in anyone's imagination.

My first Aldershot game was in 1966 (first match of the season against Hartlepools after England's World Cup success which I watched on tv), and I continued to attend matches until 1992 (when I travelled down from Northamptonshire on a Friday night after work). Prior to this I had done "missionary work" in Norwich and Ealing. I have now retired to Gwynedd and with no family connections in the area, I only attend about one match a year (Altrincham, Oldham, Rochdale are my closest opportunities although they are 2-3 hours). I use this board to keep in touch with my club, and find all the different views interesting and helpful. I really hope that this will continue, and that everyone is tolerant of everyone else's views.............especially when they disagree or are initially annoyed by a post.

If I saw their name on a post...i would just scroll past

I remember Mr Petty doing the same thing a few years ago 4/5, maybe more

I've had loads of stick on here..doesn't bother me

Some people are too sensitive

In regard to the 2 posters leaving the ship

Will the game still be on this afternoon/tonight?

Something I've noticed from a few posters is that they seem to wear the " I get stick" badge with pride, actually seem to revel in it.
I've never noticed you getting "stick" or any of the others who often mention it.
I suppose it depends on what you consider "stick" is it someone disagreeing with you? Is this post "stick", maybe it's you that's "too sensitive" just curious.😁
