Yep, I think alot of the frustration on this board stems from a range of frustrations, including , the lack of any real on field progress in the last 10 years, despite our great support (particularly away); the poor communications from the club on a range of matters ; the impression from the bland after match interviews that the Management is oblivious to the the impending relegation fight; the lack of any communication on the progress of the ground development; the sad reality that all the extra revenue earned last season appears to have been taken up already etc etc
Agree with this.

I will miss Richard on here. A big loss in my opinion.

Who are the bully boys on here then?

Steve, there aren't any bully boys on here mate. There's an opinionated few and a couple of dimwits, but no bullies. The two who resigned this weekend just didn't like what they read. If you hold your own opinions in high regard (and those two did), then I guess you make a self-important announcement.

Some people like being right. It's all they know. They talk forever to make their point. It's clear from the many reactions in their favour that many people seemed to be enjoy being talked at on here. I found it patronising, but each to their own.

Took a bit of stick at the weekend and took their ball home.

Maybe we'll all be better for it.

I agree with you, and expect a backlash for it.

Why a backlash ? All about opinions mate and when Mr always right got it wrong and took a little bit of stick ,he couldn't take it and ran away . At least we don't have people quoting his essays which runs a thread to 28 pages 😆😆

As I've said already, I think it's a shame that Richard is leaving. He was clearly hurt by other people's comments after he had tried to be helpful.

My personal view, though, is that if you get frustrated/upset with Shotsweb, you should just quietly stop visiting the site and see whether you miss it as time goes by. If you leave a job or a marriage, you announce it and tell people why. But this is just a website for a level 5 football club. Saying "I'm leaving and I'm never coming back" just means that it's harder to change your mind.

Have Jim and Richard actually left, or have they just stopped posting for the time being.
Is Alan B continuing posting? I do hope so.

That's the thing, Dr. Jim and Richard announced they were leaving but others just stop posting and we don't get to know why.
Personally, I think that a couple of remarks on this page alone are harsh but will be "just my opinion".
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I wonder if some of the posters above, would use the same tone if talking to someone face to face?

Most”parochial” football websites are full of playground bitchiness and condescending comment, and Shotsweb is no different. It’s the patronising tone that gets up my nose, but I have the skin of a rhinoceros, so no big deal. General websites can be interesting, news of opponents transfers, problems, etc..; more analytical and less condemnatory.
Not dull, though, eh, reality soap opera..

Richard's loss from this board is huge and hope he will reconsider in time.

We all get frustrated with some of the attitudes displayed on here from time to time.

Tolerance and respect for others in all aspects of life is something that we should all strive to achieve.

I have never had a problem with Richard, comes across as a very helpfull and intelegent man,and i have to say ,never really disagreed with anything he had to say. but, i think the problem with what has happened is,the way he has told everybody in 500 words plus( havent counted them, )when a simple sentance would have done. just my opinion of course !!
