I would agree with you if the season was about 5 games younger but it isn’t and the games will quickly run out, melodramatic you say? I think we’ve won about 6 games out of 33? Since last march which is poor

There were plenty saying this sort of thing when we got relegated under Waddock and were saved by Gateheads finances.
The worrying thing for me is that IIRC Waddock wasn’t sacked and was even offered a new deal.
I fear the same may happen with Widdrington.
