Some people are on Twitter/X.
Some people are on Instagram.
Some check Facebook.
Some rely on the club website.
Some on Shotsweb.
And many of our fan base will via a phone call or face-to-face from someone else who has found out on social media.

We feel let down by the whole experience today.
It's especially disappointing after just 7 days ago how impressed we were with the communication for Chertsey.

All today has done is alienate supporters in an already frustrating season.
Good point. I like this.
Today's issue does stem from last week. I was quite amazed that the game went ahead; and we all lauded the folks who were behind the scenes to get the pitch playable. Even though the decision unfortunately came too late for some.

Today we expected too much based on how well last week's effort went. Combine this expectation with the positive communications that started on Friday evening upto the X post by the Club at 11.25 this morning showing a lovely green pitch and sunny blue sky - I'm sure gave us all the hope we needed to travel and purchase tickets for the match today.

Anyway, as Danny Searle used to say... we'll learn from this...

For those who have commented about getting emails late from Fanbase but no earlier message about the game being called off I think I may be able to help.

When you have Fanbase on your phone you need it as an app not as a website. If you have it on as an app you get notifications like you would for example from Easyjet about your flight if you have the Easyjet app.

Like any app that gives you updates you do need to enable app notifications on your phone either for all apps or go to your app lists and usr the enable switch on the specific apps you want to recieve from.

I hope that helps as a last bit of being helpful, my other thread in a moment will explain why I say that
The old saying goes "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you will never please all the people all the time." In fact sometimes it seems impossible to even please some of the people any of the time

Do you not drive?

Have you not heard of people pulling over to a safe/legal place or the services in order to check their phones?!
Suggest you read original post.
I have done and your post still doesn’t make sense. The poster makes no reference to breaking the law, so I’m puzzled why you suggest they would do.
