Very odd comment.We were told the game wasn’t in doubt and there would be no inspection.

Well done to the volunteers for their fantastic efforts in trying to get the game on. The match ref has made the decision which is beyond the control of the club.

But no one can defend the amateur performance regards communication over this. Putting out on social media that game will be on & telling us to ‘fear not’ is just another cock up

The club will get severe criticism over this & will be deserved. I don’t think for one minute Solihull will be too pleased , you also have to feel for their fans who have travelled..A bad look imo.

This is beyond embarrassing. The social media team really need to take a very long and hard look at themselves over their communication of this issue - absolutely appalling.

We have firmly lost the right to criticise any club for late postponements in the future - absolutely shocking.

I was there this morning and people genuinely seemed optimistic that everything woukd be OK. It was a bit colder than expected overnight but the sky was bright and sun out. It's really surprising tbh. Juts nipped over and the players are training on the pitch (admittedly the better side of it.)

The rest of the pitch is in sunshine so that was right thing to do, the south stand is left covered because of lack of sun, but the club must have known that area was solid? Perhaps they thought the ref would not notice.
I still say the match ref should be in attendance around 9 am to make a decision then. Blame the lazy ref not the club.

Genuine question, did no one think to look under the South Stand covers? It never thaws on that side in these sort of temperatures.
