Saturday vs Solihull

Yup. A decent 3G surface that will be playable and they are home to Tadley Calleva.Peter macdonald wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 8:21 am Apparently Alton has an Astro pitch, that will do me!

Re: Saturday vs Solihull
You know how a few people on here bizarrely get upset about anything, if you say something remotely controversial you get treated like Peter sutcliffe or Ian Brady which is a trifle unfortunate because those gentlemen were extremely nasty individualsAlex wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 8:14 amAbsolutely no problem with any of the volunteers and appreciate what they do. I wasn’t having a go at anyone or moaning about what has or hasn’t been done to try to protect the pitch.anonymouse wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 1:35 pmAlex do you ever have anything positive to say, the guys work their nuts off to get the games played and all you do is come on here with comments like that.Alex wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 10:39 am Looks like the max temperature for Aldershot during the next few days is only going to be 2/3 degrees, and very cold at night!
I know the covers have been down but a good chance the game will be frozen off, surely?
Early forecast is for it to warm up a bit by Tuesday so I’d expect the Braintree fixture to be on.
You really must have a boring life.
It has been, and still is FREEZING!!
I’ll be amazed if there isn’t quite a few games off tomorrow, away from Prem and Championship grounds.
Re: Saturday vs Solihull
It was certainly colder than -4 degrees in whitehill/bordon this morning. Car thermometer flicking between -7 and -5.
Hopefully the Rec/EBB is enjoying warmer climes.

Yeah I took the dog out last Saturday morning and the ground underfoot felt fine, despite all the worries. This week the ground's like concrete. I'm about half a mile from the stadium and obviously they've had covers down (and tbf that could fix all this ) but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's a quick "nope" tomorrow morning. That said, I don't know what I'm talking about really.Alex wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 8:14 amAbsolutely no problem with any of the volunteers and appreciate what they do. Barnet's scheduled home game against Hartlepool tomorrow is off already despite frost covers being laid
and Richard Walden puts the Shots 1-0 up against Man Utd
Re: Saturday vs Solihull
Games at Oldham and Fylde gone already, though it was reported it got down to -15 across the Pennines last night.

Re: Saturday vs Solihull
Question is do we want it on tomorrow .... Braintree's game is off so they can begin to prepare for us on Tuesday in what is definitely a six pointer at the bottom end of the table ....

Re: Saturday vs Solihull
Personally, I’d rather is is off so we can concentrate on the game versus Braintree on Tuesday.Solihull will be very tough and they have been consistently one of the best sides in recent seasons .Whilst it’s true Tuesday is a relegation 6 pointer, I’d have never predicted this and it seems like the club have not recognised the imminent danger that fans have seen for considerable time

Kempton races already off tomorrow.
Re: Saturday vs Solihull
Would have to be pretty big frost covers at Kempton Park to be fair…,.

As it stands, the only games still on are ours, at Boston and Yeovil.
