Doesn’t really bother me Ian but that poor bugger ( Dyche) has probably been given about £8 million in compensation

Yes you’re right, 1980
Re: Dyche.gone
I was there. The late great Alex McGregor scored our goal in a 4-1 defeat. Was it really 45 years ago.shots1965 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:50 pmPeter macdonald wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:19 pmDoesn’t really bother me Ian but that poor bugger ( Dyche) has probably been given about £8 million in compensation

I went to that game. We lost 4–1 I think with Bob Latchford scoring at least one. I think it was Alex Macgregor that scored out goal, a volley that went through the Everton keeper’s legs.shots1965 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:50 pmPeter macdonald wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:19 pmDoesn’t really bother me Ian but that poor bugger ( Dyche) has probably been given about £8 million in compensation

From what I remember they were not any better than us ...They scored two early goals, we then dominated and got a goal back but two late goals finished it ....That's how I remember it maybe someone can confirm

One of only 2 English managers, of the league that's played in England by mainly foreign owned clubs.
Re: Dyche.gone
I get your sentiment, but there is still two English Managers, Howe and Potter.

Eddie Howe is an excellent Manager and is good at developing players, I find it staggering that he wasn’t even asked about the England job and would have been my choice rather than Thomas Tuchel.

Probably because Eddie is to English for some people, unfortunately in this country we seem to be obsessed with catering for foreign people over our own which is totally wrong in my opinion, that will no doubt upset a few on hereSean Chambers wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 5:43 amEddie Howe is an excellent Manager and is good at developing players, I find it staggering that he wasn’t even asked about the England job and would have been my choice rather than Thomas Tuchel.
