Tbf This is an ex-player news thread We've had so many forgettable loanees but in his short spell with us O'Brien obviously left his mark with many of us, i'm hoping that Woking have got the O'Brien who hasn't really done much for the last couple of yearscomeonshots wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 2:25 pm
This going on about who used to play for us is getting very desperate and embarrassing. He played 5 games for us on loan nearly 11 years ago. That was a time we could afford and attract the best at our level. Effiong has played for them in two spells before us.
They have investment and a new manager - we should be worrying about ourselves
and you may ask yourself, well....how did I get here?

He was an appalling keeper in his time here, so its not too surprising to read this!!fredandballou wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 12:22 pm Dulwich Hamlet keeper Dillon Barnes upset manager Hakin Hayrettin when his two howlers gifted bottom of the table Bognor Regis Town a 3 - 4 win. That game also featured ex-Shots Luke Wanadio, who scored Hamlet's first, and Ryan Hall in the Bognor goal.

Dillon joined us on loan from QPR in February 2022 and made four appearances before being sent back:redblueuptoyou wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 8:12 pmDid he even play for us? A woefully erratic keeper who gave our defence zero confidence in his ability to deal with a cross or shot!

The old saying goes "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you will never please all the people all the time." In fact sometimes it seems impossible to even please some of the people any of the time

I did suspect that he was on the move after Barnet signed Lee Ndlovu last night. He’s earned it, certainly established himself as one of the best in the league.Richard Petty wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 5:18 pm Nicke Kabamba has been sold by Barnet to Bromley for an undisclosed fee

Boreham Wood losing Ndlovu can only be a good thing for our FA Trophy ambitions.
